Daaaaaaaamn, that's a big piggy!

And what did you take from the bear? Skin or other trophy?

And that pic where you say you're about to get run over; did the hog escape over you?

As you may surmise, I know squat about hunting but have the greatest respect for those that do.

4 deer in 36 hours Montana mule tails. Shots were from 380 480 489 512 yards, totally different than any CA hunting I have ever done.

Look at the ears. Probably a fox of sorts. Doesn't look like a puppy, and the ears are way too big for anything else.

Default My best kills and hunts

My Best Whitetail - 16 points (170 Class) taken on the King Ranch in So. Texas - Jan of 2009 .375Win

My Biggest Hog - King Ranch, Texas - Bow @52yards - Estimated weight - 450
(You can see the Ranger in the background, hooked up with the winch - when we winched the hog up to take pics, the ranger lifted off the ground, not the hog)

Coolest Hunt - My buddy CRS1 got the kill, I was backing (not needed, though he killed it with one shot - 7mmRem) Chased it with 4 dogs for 8 hours or so before getting the shot off at 130 yards across a river. Guide estimated the Bear to be 600+

Its a coyote with a sever case of mange. Believe it or not that thing was still alive sleeping on the hay in my barn just 5 minutes before that pic was taken.

Nope, donated it to a couple of Hungarian leopard hunters for bait. Warthogs are like candy to leopards.
My Gemsbok taken on the same hunt.

Ive killed 3 bears and have eaten all of them. The only thing i dont eat are coyotes and varmints. Bear is actually really good as long as you dont eat the ones that have been eating a ton of salmon.

My longest shot on a coyote, 732 yards with my 6.5x284. She thought that she was safe sitting out on the hill while we were shooting prairie dogs.

I will take a bear steak. I have never tried any. I will be at the Bass Pro Shop in Rancho Cucamonga this weekend. Is Irvine near there at all.

Also just to let you guys know, coyote does taste great. It is stringy like bobcats but not as dry. I use it a lot to make Jerky.

Outside on the grill.

I cooked bear steaks in the house once and stunk the place up so bad that I thought Wifezilla would kill me.

Fall bears have a lot of fat on them and it is smelly when cooked.
