Default Skilled and reasonable cost Gunsmith in VC?

I have a GREAT gunsmith who I have been using for the past 8 months. Unfortunately he has a day job that is keeping him busy and he makes a lot more money building custom rifles on the side so he is pretty much unavailable for light gunsmith work. I am looking for recommendations for skilled, reputable gunsmiths anywhere in Ventura County to do four or five light gunsmith jobs I have lined up (changing out sights, minor builds with conversion kit, barrel threading, etc.) Been looking for a while, real gunsmiths in Ventura County seem to not exist. Know of anyone? I would take my guns to the San Fernando Valley, if necessary, but having a hard time locating someone who is a pro.

Not sure, I know islandview has their precision rifles for sale at $5k and they are beauties. Just a little rich for my blood.

Give Todd @ Griswold Bros. a call. Super cool guy and very meticulous about his work.
You can also try Brian Worthan @ Worthan's Gunworks in Camarillo. Both are great guys.

They sell precision rifles but don't have a normal storefront. I would call before you decide to go by.

Just to save anyone else the trouble, "Due to a large backlog, we are no longer accepting any general gunsmithing." Must be nice to be busy enough to turn away business and I don't mean that sarcastically, I've been in the same position myself with my business, it's a good problem to have.

Spoke with Brian Worthan today, nice guy, he will be doing my work. He has other jobs as well so you have to have some time to get your work done but he was a good listener, knowledgeable and easygoing. Plus he lives in my town. Thanks for the recommendation Pistolero805!

Good for you, I was going to second the recommendation to him. Tell him Mr. Ramsey says "Hi"

Brian Worthan in Camarillo is an absolute butcher. Of the 6 guns I gave him, he did two correctly. One he replaced a sight on, the other he removed a compensator. The other four had all manners of incompetence. He hammered the slide and front sight on my Sig when he removed it, his cerakote job on it was terrible twice and he lost the firing pin which I can't find anywhere. When he returned it, the slide was in the white as a result of buffing out the hammer marks on the slide. On the AMT, when he finally returned it at my request, the firing pin assembly was removed and disassembled. On the Winchester 94, I asked him to simply find and install a the barrel band screw, which he chiggered on its way in and didn't fix until I asked him to. The bolt action he cleaned and rebedded it and now it shoots further off than when I gave it to him.
This wasn't all in one trip either, it was over the course of four months. After finally getting frustrated I asked him to drop them with a gun shop near his house and he included a $300 bill for his "work", which I paid. He took a nice Sig P230 and turned it into a paperweight that I can't use or sell. I sincerely hope he never makes another dime working on guns again.
