I want to get into some centerfire silhouette matches, but the only scope I currently have are fixed 6x IOR Tact. And a 10x Mark4. Would I be at a big disadvantage? I want to compete for the fun. My rifles are both .308. Thanks

Page 6 here has the specific rules:
http://compete.nra.org/documents/pdf...sil-r-book.pdf The big one is overall weight. You will want the lightest scope possible in order to keep the rifle under the max weight. Lower magnification makes it easier to find the targets after each shot. 6x is not a bad power at all for standing.

Go to some matches and see what your competitors use.
