Talking LC Smith shotguns in a collection maybe available ?

Calgunners out there I went to a yard sale saturday the 27 feb and shooting the breeze I came across a guy who says he MIGHT wanna move on a collection of LC Smith shotguns and Winchester rifles soon, as in MAYBE. I kind of sorta know LC Smith shotguns are big time collector items some years ago.

Any interest in this types of shotguns on the Calguns site ? I told the guy I would bring it up in this site. No I did not see of the collection. They are in Contra Costa County East Bay region. I have the guy's ph number for serious interested inquires. No I am not privy to commissions on any events that may come out of any enventual transfers.

I'm interested in early American SxS shotguns, and am interested in LCs. Particularly hammer fired antiques with twist or damascus, though nothing wrong with box locks or fluid barrels. If he decides to part out the collection I'd be interested in a list of what he has.

There are collections, and there are accumulations. Even accumulations sometimes have a gem or two. I bought my Elsie Crown Grade from a body shop that took the gun in trade for some auto repairs. They are where you find them.

I'll pass along these responses to the owner, see what is next, and it may well be accumalated guns.

I wouldn't mind seeing a list, as well.

OK guys, he finally gave me a list of his available firearms. It contains three 22 lr rifles, two LC Smith shotguns & one is a Damascus double. And seven Winchester model 12 shotguns. Mostly 40's & 50's manufacture dates. He is in Oakley Calif, Contra Costa County, and wants to do all transfers locally in the Oakley and Antioch area. Yeah I know that's a pain for Calgunners out of the SFO San Jose area and Stockton. PM me and I will send you a copy of his list by US Postal service. Asking prices included in the listings. Its two months but he came thru just this current week. His name, and phone number are on the list. Hoping this works out for some of you. I do not have any shotguns and cannot keep one every time I have acquired one. I am not into ducks doves quail etc hunting. Bambi, Antelopy babies, and wanna be Elk hunting is my thing.

Send a list via USPS? Why not here? Or via PM? I'd be interested, and am local enough, but the whole mail thing is...weird.

Yeah. Just post the list, but keep the owners personal details out of it. Have interested folks pm you for the guys contact info. ( Or have interested folks give their number to you, and you pass it along to the seller. )

I really dont need more shotguns, but I’ve never owned a model 12...

C&R exists, rules have changed a bit in CA. Antiques are still exempt.
