Default Looking for a pistol brace

Is there anything out there shorter than a Maxim PDW brace? I'm running a bufferless upper so something like an MPX brace but with wider adjustable struts.

Center fire rifles do not have pistol braces.

I don't think they get shorter than the pdw style

Use this from KNS Precision:

And find something soft that attaches to the picatinny rail that can serve as a buttstock.
Like this:

https://www.ebay.com/c/1458500587

(But be ready to argue with the ATF that though it is not a brace, it is still a pistol. What if you were to put a Luger pistol or a Browning Buckmark against your shoulder? Does it become a SBR?)

Yup, then you can use folding braces commonly used on SIG MPX's and MCX's.

I think those PDWs feel cheap and look uncomfortable as hell. I’d go for a folder if you don’t need the buffer. Does gear head works have something for the MPX?

Maybe something like this
https://triggerdepot.com/product/sb-...l-brace-3-pos/

Or as you mentioned, side folder.

Would the adjustable struts hit the upper reciever though? I see the MPX upper has reliefs accommodate them.

I'm for sure going to get that adapter. And as for a folding brace I'm gonna go with a Zenitco PT-1 folding stock, and replace the stock with a pistol brace but not sure which one yet.

Just wish there's something out there that's similar to the MPX style but shorter. A folding brace is CA compliant questionable I think.

While I love Zenitco’s stuff, consider the weight penalty before you plunk down your money. I have their full AK kit, but it weighs a ton.

In Russia, you don’t lift rifle, rifle lift you.

Once you have a picatinny rail back there, you have a world of choices. I’d start looking at Custom Smith Manufacturing and J Mac Custom for pic rail to brace adapters. You’re going to have fun.

CSM’s adapter:

I think they’re talking about side folders, those channels on the MPX are for the collapsing stock.

Fitting a side folder to an AR would be tricky as far as stock/brace adapter to receiver, ejection port, controls, etc. interference. They’re not meant for an AR after all. I find CSM is the easiest to work for one off projects. (Not affiliated, just a happy customer)

Is this for a Glock? This is a 150 yard gun!

A side folding triangle brace like a CNC Warrior or SB would be shorter when folded than a retractable.

Thanks for your input and showing me a bunch of cool stuff! I'm going with the 1913 mount and a couple Jmac Customs folders. I'll end up posting a pic when I pick my lower up from jail.

Thank you everyone for your input and showing me a bunch of options I have out there.

That's a pretty snide response from someone who posted this in the CENTERFIRE RIFLES subforum. Genius.

So should I ask the handgun guys AR15 related stuff? Which 12.5" barrel they use on their handgun or buffer weight/gas block they use for their handgun to cycle right?
