Default buy as Barrel online? CTD

What do you have to do to buy a barrel now? Is the state going to track you when you buy one now?

1) remove tin foil hat
2) find barrel you like
3) click BUY
4) don't buy from CTD
5) resume life

Default CTD hates California...

...and has high prices. If it has low prices, you're buying something crappy.

CTD will likely not ship you any AR15 parts anyway

Thumbs down

The last member of Calguns.net who posted about a purchase from CTD was rewarded with a lifetime ban.

Don't be that guy.

How does CTD stay open, much less thrive, since every time their name comes up online they are just cancer. Because they are.
Im amazed they still exist.

My issue with them, they are very Kalifornistan un-friendly. Typically the first to put up restrictions, and the last to relax them.

They’re never getting another penny from me.

Buy from PSA instead.

They sell to rest of Free America.

Back in the 90s when I subscribed to Shotgun News CTD (along with many others like CDNN, Tapco, etc.) would have 2-4 page ads. I ordered alot of stuff from those 3 vendors.

Yeah CTD really hates California Customers. Very hurtful with their ridiculous policies.
I will never buy anything from them.

OP. Back to the barrel question. What are you looking for specifically..?

I have several spare unused barrels to rummage thru.....

Be well

Get from White Oak Armory instead. GREAT barrels. https://www.whiteoakarmament.com/shop/barrels.html

Or find a Ballistic Advantage barrel with hanson profile from somewhere like Old Testament Arms.

16" 300 blackout with a Carbine length gas tube. Need to replace a possible bent barrel, and want to use a Magpul handguard.

Thanks.

We can’t buy 30 round pMags. Their retail is about $15. CTD was $99 after every disaster

Cheaper Than Dirt (CTD) is an anti-CA vendor and will not sell/ship anything they think is illegal in CA.
^Sportsman's Guide has also adopted this policy.

You can provide them with evidence showing that the item is legal in CA, but they will still refuse to sell/ship it to CA.

It is part of their company policy and they are unwilling to change it.
So, if you do not like it, shop elsewhere.

Who cares if CTD hates California? We hate them more. It reminds me of a Seinfeld episode. 添ou can稚 break up with me, I知 breaking up with you! They are dirtbags, their prices suck, who cares whether they like us or not?

2 weeks or so ago, they were selling 9mm sweepings from their warehouse floor.

Waiver stated may contain other calibers.

50 rounds for $50.

Ok besides the CTD hate, my understanding was that pistol length gas system in a 16 would be better. Anyone have any comments about that?

CTD would never get a dime from me. Just look at their past business practices. When prices suddenly went through the roof, they canceled everybody's orders and then raised their prices double. They are a horrible excuse for a business

There seems to be enough Carbine length ones out there. I just want it to work. Plus the carbine length gas sys works with the handguard i want to use.

Ummm....

You must not do much online shopping for gun stuff, right?

Cuz the price differential between CTD and virtually EVERY OTHER ONLINE VENDOR does not exactly require some in depth analysis. It is generally huge and glaring when comparison shopping.

I know my definition...I posted about 50 9mm rounds swept off the warehouse floor. Go back and read it.

I was interested in your definition cuz I was just curious.

Oh got it.

That was actually my first post into this thread, FYI.

I don't have a formal definition of course, but every single time I am internet shopping for something, and CDT comes up, out of morbid curiosity I check the pricing and it is invariably WAY higher than competitors.

Not sure it really is "price gouging" per se, which to me means there has to be some sort of outside influence generating a TON of demand... it's more like "preying on the ignorant" since they probably snag a lot of business from "just getting into guns" folks.

Like me, when I built out my AR, without knowing any better I bought a couple hundred rounds of 223 from CDT at what turned out to be exorbitant prices.

Just the fact that their warehouse floor has random bullets lying around on it should give one pause. Where did they come from? Who got shorted on their order by a few rounds, and how many of these poor souls were there? Not to mention the safety factor. I mean, I know they are not little landmines, but if you got random bullets laying around your floor, WHAT ELSE is wrong with you?
