Default Wyze Lock introductory offer.

Wyze just introduced their $99 smart deadbolt and are offering it for $89.

The keypad is coming in May.

Seems very well featured with an incredible price. Watch the videos:

Details here.

I know there's quite a few of you using Wyze products from past threads.

That's not good!

I have one of their cams, but I only got it because of the price, as I have other cams throughout my house. It works, but I don't get a lot of use out of it.

Hi if you have ring or are considering cams most zwave door locks work with ring and z wave smoke alarms as well.... z wave is in many products made by many companies and ring is make more and more work... so with ring you have alot more options and brands to chose from... plus alot more sales....

I have several Wyze cams and sensors. They are not that reliable. I have 2 other camera systems so, if they don't work correctly, I don't blow a gasket.

That being said, I would never buy a lock made by Wyze.

My old house has settled. I'd have to put in a in whole new door frame.
I have to push on the door to unlock the dead bolt without force.

If things aren't lined up just right and it's sticking that thing wouldn't have the power.

I’d spend a little more on a August door lock pro. Has way more features and is Siri, google and Alexa enabled.

I’m not sure people hacking your door knob is a thing. Pretty easy to break a sheet of glass

If they can get access to your main email that it used for smart home accessories and you have smart locks, they have access to your home. I do agree with you though, easier to just break a window to gain access.

I would think that 1) most people have 1 email (not all, but most) and 2) if I had access to someone's main email I'd just siphon out their money accounts remotely.. since in all likeliness they are not using 2 factor auth.

I would never buy a "smart" lock. Security over convenience for me.

The lock itself uses Zigbee + Bluetooth which doesn't leave your house. However, the controller you decide to use may impact if data gets sent through China or not.
