Default Tavor X95 9mm conversion input needed

Input needed on how to go about obtaining the parts needed to convert my X95 from 5.56 to 9mm.

IWI was selling complete 9mm conversion kits but they're OOS everywhere. The complete 9mm rifles can still be found however. Response to email inquiry from IWI sales stated that due to some ATF policy they won't be importing/selling kits any longer.

Anyone have a guess as to what the restriction is?

What are the available options? My father lives out of state. I see two options:

1. purchase and transfer to my ffl via out of state middleman ffl as a featureless.

2. Have my father purchase and then strip the appropriate parts off/ship to me.

Can a stripped Tavor receiver be transferred?

Expensive conversion kit... Wish I'd forked the money out for a kit when they were readily available.

The product descriptions I’ve seen suggest the Tavor SAR and the X95 have different kits/parts.

I can’t think of why the atf would put the kibosh on conversion kits? Is it a 922r thing?

I read they discontinued the kit. If you can find one have it shipped to your Dad to remove the mag and then forward on to CA.

It won't fit your x95. I may need to get this kit...

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

Haven’t been able to locate a kit yet.

Still deliberating whether to purchase a complete 9mm rifle.

Can a stripped X95 receiver be transferred? Or does it need to be complete in a featureless configuration?

Bringing this back up.

Can anyone tell me if a stripped X95 receiver can be transferred?

fwiw, the caliber isn't marked on the receiver like an AR pattern lower is.

Thanks!
