Default Any shops in OC, LA, or IE w/good selection of cleaning rods?

I need a one piece 40" nylon coated .30 cal cleaning rod.

I checked Brownell's, Midway, and Sportsman's Warehouse, but all are OOS. My next step was to order directly from J. Dewey rods and I was glad to find what I wanted in stock, but as soon as I got to the shipping cost I decided to stop. Thirty bucks for USPS ground. The rod itself is thirty one bucks.

I know it's an oddball sized shipment since it's a 1pc 40" tube package, but there's gotta be one in a shop somewhere in the OC, LA, IE area.

Any suggestions?

I think I got mine as Bass Pro OP. But Amazon at least won't get you with $30 shipping.

Yes. Haven’t been in for a year or so but it’s still there.

Like some one posted above.

You can find anything on Amazon or eBay.
Easiest way to find odd stuff.

Thanks for the tip, I've been trying to ween myself from the crack-pipe, I mean Amazon, but I may have to grow Jeff's empire just a little more if I can't find a local rod.

I also thought Fowler's had closed. I just called them to check inventory but got a recording stating they don't answer calls and to submit my request by email.

Yeah, they’re dicks. Actually, not so much now. Not nearly like they used to be. They still price things like they’re paying rent on Rodeo Drive, though. They usually have a ****load of cleaning supplies.

I bought my Dewey rods at Angeles reloading store or Angeles gun range store.
Might call the gun range store to see if they have one.in stock.
Bought my brushes and jag online from Dewey.

Back in '90 I worked at a Suzuki shop in Upland and went to the Yoshimura shop in Chino to pick up some Michelin race tires. I stopped for a soda at a mini mart on Ramona Ave and Mission Blvd in Montclaire. As I was getting back into my non-AC Ranger with the windows down (cause it was hot as hell) a toothless, stringy haired, methed out hooker leans on my passenger side door and asks if I'd like to party. I said no. She then says I'll do it for five bucks.

I feel like that meth head.

I went Amazon for my cleaning rod.
