Oliver North is such a globalist neocon shill that he whips the insane globalist neocons for not shilling hard enough. He is scum and has always been scum. Nothing but bad news.

It may or may not be the correct person; there's not a whole lot that the average person can do to be 100% sure. That's especially true in that it appears her social media pages are being scrubbed and/or accounts deleted; for understandable reasons, not all of which might be nefarious. (Click the link provided as the source for the next photo and it says the link may be broken or the image removed.) However, it looks like the same individual others are pointing to as well...

The bottom line of all this comes down to transparency. Whatever the rationale for the expenditures being discussed, whatever the time frame, at this juncture, simply deflecting questions as "attacks on the 2nd Amendment" isn't going to put out the fire or dissipate the smoke. If the rationale and time frames involved are legitimate, then it should be no problem to publicly defend/explain them. If they aren't legitimate or or further enhance the "appearance of impropriety," I'd much rather it was the NRA which 'cleaned up the mess' than the State of New York, the IRS, and other Government agencies.

I've immense respect for that guy and I agree with his assessment.

People should note, however, that Colonel West is not suggesting people abandon the NRA but urging its reform.

You keep talking about the unreliable "leftist media", then you link a bunch of liberal news sites as your sources? Get Wayne's little Pierre out of your mouth and wake up. The NRA doesn't give two sh*ts about your rights, they want your money, and you just keep throwing more at them because you refuse to acknowledge that they could do anything wrong. I highly doubt anyone here is jealous of that two faced backstabbing traitor. He is just like Trump. They go up on stage and spew a bunch of crap they know people like you will eat up, all for personal gain, and you're too blind or too stupid to see that they're playing you.

Too bad he'll probably get fired in the next few weeks. He has the right idea though, and it's people like him that we need in the NRA.

Now its little Wayne and your hatred for Trump just showed everyone you are an anti gun democrat.

I used the leftists media because they are proud of their attempts to take down the NRA and eliminate all RKBA. I could have used the NRA where I 1st heard about the attacks, but you would have claimed it was self serving.

We went to the NRA convention where Wayne La Pierre and the NRA got over 80,000 affluent NRA members to attend. Nearly all events and seminars were free to NRA members.
It takes some real brainpower to put on a convention that gets 80,000 people!

I am pleased you have shown the intelligence and character of the people attacking Wayne and the President.
For that we owe you our gratitude!

If you want top see the NRA reform, cut off the money and make it clear there will be no more as long as Wayne and his team are still there.

Almost none of the 150,000 NRA voters who actually cast a vote even knew about the NRA's financial problems or Wayne's profligate spending. Thanks in part to hiding some of the spending with his AckMak issued Amex Card.

The liberals can get 100k+ people for their garbage anti-gun rallies, so it clearly doesn't take that much brain power. And at that convention, they lied to, and shut out their members instead of being open and honest with them. Your only response is to call everyone who disagrees with you a liberal troll. That's pretty much how the liberals reply to everything too. Am I a Russian bot too? And I'm not anti Trump. I like some of what he's done and I still think he was the far better choice, but it's clear he doesn't care about 2a rights like he claims. He's a politician, and he says whatever he thinks people want to hear so he can stay in office. Keep your head in the sand and blindly throw money at the NRA like they're a cheap stripper, maybe eventually you'll realize that they've been scamming you for years.

Sure democrats can get 100,000 our more people to show up for a street rally protesting nearly anything.
George Soros and other democrats have deep pockets and they provides buses for every anti freedom rally for these pathetic unwashed, parasites. Its not like they work!

I have not seen a liberal group put together a convention that serves 80- 90 thousand people for a multi day event like the NRA does. An event where members provide their own transportation, lodging and meals.

As a result I will recruit more NRA members and upgrade to Patron. I hope all thinking patriotic NRA members do likewise.
These attacks against the NRA by democrats could very well backfire and we could become stronger.

I am truly honored and proud to belong to an organization you are not part of. I know I will never have the misfortune of running across you at any NRA event.

Marion Hammer is a RKBA hero and its telling you need to malign her w/o checking on anything but some obscure blog. A blog that has a definite democrat smell to it!

I guess it is true, the definition of a "hero" really has become watered down nowadays. Either way, organizing an event to show off gun products and recite the usual garbage "from my cold dead hands!" lines isn't what the NRA is there for. It's supposed to be teaching firearms safety and fighting for our rights. I see very little fighting FOR our rights done by them, and much more backroom dealings with the enemy to take away rights all while lining their pockets off ignorant people such as yourself. You act like it's a small minority of gun owners who are mad at the NRA. There's a whole lot of people done with their corrupt money making scheme. They sell out your rights to the enemy, then push people for money to get them back, except once they're gone we don't ever get them back. Don't know if you noticed, but the NRA's law firm, Brewer & Associates, has been given $24 mil over the last 13 months for who knows what. They are being paid $100k a day, 7 days a week for a few months now. Brewer donates money to a lot of democraps such as Beto and Clinton.
William Brewer III is the owner of the NRA's law firm, and father in-law of Angus Mcqueen, the co-CEO of AckMac

You are wrong there Skippy. I paid my Life Membership off back around 2000. That will be the last money the NRA sees until the Wayne & his mob are gone.

Let me let you in on a secret. There are actual Second Amendment activists who have tried passing Campus Carry and other reforms in Florida and been stymied by Crazy Cat Lady. She have call them radicals to their faces when confronted over her opposition. She as point Crazy for the NRA in Florida and got the NRA to endorse a Florida Republican who was later paling around with Mon's Demand Action crowd and voting with them. It should not have been a surprise since Crazy had been warned before she pushed the endorsement.

Crazy have skipped hearing on things like the Bump Stock Ban in Florida as well. Further you did not even address the fact that Crazy Cat Lady who is a BOD member have missed most of the BOD meetings and the last 7 NRAAMs.

YA I must have been dropped on my to NOT ACCEPT fake charges, class warfare, and all forms of demonization about a man who has furthered RKBA beyond anything I thought possible!

Another indication I must be mentally unfit is that I refuse to accept info from RKBA enemy's and particularity Col North who Ive never trusted. Wayne La Pierre and the NRA are under close scrutiny every time a democrat admin takes over. If there was any wrongdoing they would have found it.

Now mods take a look at the personal attacks from this NRA/Trump hating liberal and determine if those attacks are enough to warrant a time out !

Personal attacks? You mean like you calling everyone that disagrees with you a liberal democrat troll? That's far worse than anything I've said to you. And please tell me, what has he done to further our 2A rights? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

When insulting someone, what are you trying to achieve? I ask this because from what I have read on this forum, is a fair amount of users writing personal attacks instead of laying out one’s own opinions and when necessary or desired, citing facts to back up those opinions.

Some folks on this forum are civil, some with a hint of an edge, and allow for civil discourse. These folks I truly appreciate their effort and ability to articulate their perspective.

The irony is that I am a very new firearm owner, just picked up second firearm, first was a few months ago. I am trying to figure out what organizations help firearms owners and then decide where to donate my money to.

I am not trying to cr p on you, just interested in what you are conveying.

I've attempted to debate with him before, it falls on deaf ears. At this point, I'm just having fun with it. Even if I had a signed confession from Wayne himself, he would insist that the man is a saint and the savior of us all. I have never seen someone with their head so far up another mans a**. Wayne has been using the NRA as his personal piggy bank for years, and the executive BOD have been not only letting it happen, but are protecting him. He has spent a metric sh*t-tonne of the NRA's money on clothing, private jets, his girlfriends apartment, and who knows what else. They have paid the Brewer law firm, who has donated money to many dems such as Clinton, Obama, and Beto, $24 mil over the last 13 months for who knows what. Currently, they are paying the law firm $100k a day, 7 days a week. William Brewer is the father in-law of the co-CEO of AckMac, which has been buying Wayne whatever he wants and billing the NRA for it. Historically, the NRA has backed almost every single major federal gun control bill over the last century including the '34 NFA, '38 FFA, '67 Mulford Act, '68 GCA, '86 MG ban, and more recently, bump stock ban and red flag laws. I'm not going to tell you which group you should support. I personally like GOA because they share my "no compromise" view and I believe they truly want to restore our rights. They use the donated money for exactly what they claim. I will say, do your own research, find the facts and the history of whatever organization you chose to support. Everyone has VERY strong opinions on this matter, and for valid reasons. All I'm going to say is that there wouldn't be tons of people dumping the NRA for no reason.

I understand what you are saying about insulting someone versus having a discussion. But with ja308, there isn't much else to do. He seems to take criticism of Trump or the NRA as personal attacks and general devolves into the responses you can see in this thread.

I've learned, as have others I'm sure, it's better to just place him on your ignore list and not feed him. But I can understand some people trying to argue with him and eventually falling into slinging insults.

Welcome to the community! A super easy way to donate is use amazon smile and select SAF (second amendment foundation). It will cost you nothing out of pocket, but Amazon will donate to them with every purchase you make.

Additionally there is FPC, GOA or the NRA. From what I can tell (and I haven't done a huge amount of research in this regard) SAF is very reactionary, in that they file lawsuits against bad laws (which isn't a bad thing, but it's better to prevent the law to begin with). GOA is also on this front and attack both new and old laws. IIRC they are working on a challenge to the '34 NFA. FPC and the NRA both work filing lawsuits against passed laws and work to prevent bad laws from being passed. On this front, obviously the NRA is top dog, they have the experience and the connections.

All that being said, I personally avoid further supporting the NRA. They have done great things, don't get me wrong, but I think they have strayed from being a 2A org first and foremost, and have moved to supporting republican anything. Of note would be support for the bump stock ban, support for Ajia Pai because of net neutrality, and their support of some politicians simply because they have an (R) next to their name. That's not to even mention the current issues that this thread is discussing.

But, you are welcome to support whomever you like. Again welcome to the firearms community!

While I don't support the NRA, and despise their legislative branch, they do a lot of good in terms of teaching marksmanship and firearms safety. The organization as a whole isn't bad, it just has a severely corrupted leadership that cares more about lining their pockets rather than restoring your rights. There are people who are trying to get elected to the board, but unfortunately, the NRA is much like our federal government in that no one will get elected if the current leadership doesn't want them to.

I don't think this means too much.

There are things I like which fascists like. There are things I detest which fascists detest. There are things I detest which fascists like. There are things I like which fascists detest.

Some similarities and differences are inevitable even outside our normal groupings.

What matters is that we love freedom and resist the oppressors.

If you identify the NRA as consisting of its leadership then I have a very poor opinion of the NRA in general.

If you identify the NRA as being largely composed of the people who are not the high-level leadership and which has been instrumental both directly and indirectly at securing and advancing our freedom - I love the NRA.

The NRA is likely to be sorted out at the high-level leadership level. If the NRA cleans its own house they will take some significant hits but will likely come out as a strong organization.

If the NRA waits until the government(s) start getting court orders and convictions, the NRA may end up being destroyed and their members damaged.

The NRA must roll up its sleeves and clean house.

Wayne La Pierre has been in trenches all along, fighting the good fight !

Under his leadership the NRA went from 300,000 to over 5 million members.

I dont care that he chartered a jet or spent 200K on suits over a 20 year period. His spending IMO is justified for a man in his position. His accomplishments are far more valuable than whatever about he accused of wasting!
just my .02
As for New York they will try EVERYTHING to destroy the NRA .

Mark my words Wayne will be vindicated! Those who count the most, think and feel as I do.

What has he personally done? As far as I can tell, he has done nothing but collect a paycheck and go up on stage and spout all the crap he knows people want to hear. He isn't the one doing anything, its the rest of the NRA that actually does stuff. And we have no idea exactly how much membership has increased because the NRA can never give a firm number, but from what I can see, it was at around 3 million members in the early 90s, so your claim is false. And I'm sure much of the membership increase is due to their fear mongering ads of about how guns will be banned if you don't support the NRA. The man is making millions of dollars a year, there is NO reason the NRA should be buying his clothes, nor should he be charging hundreds of thousands of dollars in travel expenses. I noticed you keep avoiding the fact that AckMac is paying $5400 a month on Wayne's behalf for his bimbo girlfriend, and that the NRA's law firm donates to the very anti-gun dems you claim to despise so much.

His spending is decadent and wasteful. If you are pumping money into the NRA you damn well should care where that money is coming from and how it's being spent.

Could you imagine where we'd be if they actually used all the donated money fighting gun laws? We'd probably have the NFA overturned as well as a bunch of other bogus laws. I mean, between the clothes and travel alone, its almost $800k. I feel like one of the other organizations would've got something pretty good for us out of that money.

LaPierre, who took over as chief operating officer in 1991, is widely credited by members with reinvigorating the NRA. In the late 1980s, NRA membership fell by 500,000. But during the last 18 months, according to LaPierre, membership has swelled by 600,000 and now stands at more than 3 million.

From a source many cal gunners on this thread believe has 100% accuracy and credibility!

All of this is actually very easy to understand once you know what dynamics are involved.

North was inserted to destroy it, that was the entire point. See who put him in. It's entirely due to who he answers to (and always has)

I don't care for North, but there have been problems with WLP long before Ollie ever showed up. I always thought North was a poor choice for President, but it seems like he was actually trying to do the right thing here. I don't know how anyone can justify Wayne's ridiculous spending, the $24 mil to the Brewer law firm, or any of the other shady stuff going on with the NRA.

We were at the annual NRA convention last year when North was installed. We were surprised as North to my knowledge has never been known as a RKBA advocate.

Based on the antics and charges against Wayne La Pierre by North it would appear you are correct.

Please tell me who got this 5th column plant into the Presidents spot .

Not only that, but take a close look at who took over the board at GOA last year. This is becoming the new left tactic. Don't like an organization, take over the board.

Wayne has been high on the hitlist ever since CPAC when he said "European Style Socialists" and everyone with an IQ above room temperature heard it.

Based on the antics and charges against Wayne La Pierre by North it would appear you are correct.

Please tell me who got this 5th column plant into the Presidents spot .
The President spot is "ceremonial" and just for fundraising purposes. He was put into place to get rid of Lapierre. If you get into his sordid past he was known for his odd ultra-zionist positions where he would whip neocons under Reagan for not being "pro-israel enough".

Check that list of names that Wayne mentioned as being against gun rights. And then it all makes sense.
