Glad to hear it! We will be praying for your journey. I've now heard a report that at least one Uhaul pickup franchise weaseled out of the contract my dad setup for them. Don't stand for that and call my dad back ASAP if your local dealer is giving you grief.

Sorry, while some Uhaul locations rent basic pickups, they do not offer a truck that would suffice for a bed mount. To be honest, I'm not even sure what direction to point you in. Maybe a local RV rental store could point you in the right direction? I imagine bed-mounted 5th wheels are a big liability problem for a rental truck. Best of luck.

IS it much cheaper than the best option, which is to pick up in Vegas, and drive it back, then to the final destination? But that's for unlimited mileage rentals.

Even without knowing the details of your situation, probably not. Renting U-Haul in CA to escape is expensive and if you have the time and energy, picking up out of state is *usually* cheaper, but it might end up being cheap enough to make it worth your while. If you chose to go either route, you can still PM me for some assistance. Even if it's just extra miles for your extra long journey.

CmdrChuch, wanted to let you know that thanks to your Dad's help my daughter achieved escape velocity and left CA like a rocket.

She was able to complete the trip between weather systems and had a perfect drive there with a 3 hour detour to the Grand Canyon (Yeah, I was thinking Gilligan's Island too when she told me that)

She has arrived in Missouri and starts her new job 2/4/19. Thank you again, the discount really helped.

Just a shout out to CmdrChuch and his dad. If you're moving and you need a truck, make the call. You'll be glad you did!

Moving my son , and some items, to Texas in a few weeks. This would help out.

Looking at a one-way trip to Oregon around May 29. Iíll require a 20-ft truck with a trailer for vehicle. Thank you.

Thumbs up

Just want to give a big shout out to CmdrChuch and his dad Ron. Just completed my move to Northern Nevada and am very thankful for your assistance in obtaining a U-Haul truck for a one way move. Anyone considering this, donít hesitate as this is certainly the way to go. Ron is a class act with 1st class customer service. He even called me the day before the rental to make sure everything was good to go. Thank you and God bless you both!

Tyler and Ron were a pleasure to deal with. Ron made our U-Haul experience exceptional. Quality customer service is hard to come by at times in the "Hauling" business. Thank you for assisting our family with the move!
