I haven't seen that happening here… I certainly haven't done that. I've just pointed out that anybody who refuses to believe there's real problems at the NRA, and instead blames it on Bloomberg and the lefty press, is being willfully ignorant. HISTORY SHOWS THAT STICKING YOUR HEAD IN THE SAND IS NEVER A USEFUL SOLUTION.

I'm done trying to fix stupid… Take care.

I agree 100%.

The private range I belong to requires proof of NRA membership as just ONE of the prerequisites for joining. I have no problem with this.
I believe they require this to determine if you're actually a serious gun owner or not.

CA is teeming with non-serious gun owners. People who just own a bunch of guns and go off to BLM land, trash it up for the day, and come back home...and I'm betting most of them have never been NRA members. I'm also betting these are the same clowns that are totally unaware of the increasing gun laws and Sacramento's oppression of gun owners. They are living their lives in the bliss of ignorance.

Comparing gun owners who join the NRA to gun owners who don't belong to any gun rights organizations, is like comparing a stable married man to a never-married 50-yo guy who's still going to singles clubs looking for the next lay. Yeah, it might be easier to be single than it is to be married with kids, but it reflects a lack of maturity and seriousness.

"Non-serious gunowners" - an apt phrase. Between them and the freeloaders, both incidental and deliberate, it's no wonder CA gunownership is in its current state.

The current crop of "NRA sucks" folks are indicative of that negative environment. They're not the problem, they say, we are. When they can't persuade others to agree with them it's their fault. They're stupid. Seems to be a fair amount of that going around with the current crop of non-members and non-supporters telling members what to do.

The NRA & CRPA at least are hated by our sworn adversaries.
