Default Finishing/coating ONLY milled portions of a Glock slide?

Just wondering if there are finish options out there for only the newly milled portion on a slide. Looking to get an RMR cut and front serrations on a Glock slide and wondering if anybody had had success coating only the milled areas.

I'd like to keep the factory finish on the slide if possible and just coat the serrations/RMR cut to prevent corrosion. Wouldn't have to be a perfect match or even a perfect nitride/cerakote look.

We can do that for you. We can Cerakote the milled portion and do the RMR cut for @175 1-2 day turn around.

No.
The whole slide should be refinished at the same time that those unfinished areas are getting finished.

I had a factory Glock 19 slide milled for RMR by JL Machining, then had the same dilemma as you.

I solved it by shipping it to Lone Wolf Distributors, where they refinish the whole slide in factory nitride. They only charge $25, but there's a couple of caveats, 1) they will only refinish their slides or factory Glock slides, 2) don't expect a fast turn around, I got mine back in a couple weeks, but it sometimes takes twice as long. They do great work, looks just like it came from the factory.
