Oh yea, that’s why

In CA, a “no guns” sign has no force of law, if discovered all they can do is ask you to leave and you must a leave or you are trespassing.

In AZ, does the “no guns” sign carry the force of law?

TIA

Good for him. And if you went to the In n Out in Prescott, that's not too surprising considering I've run into more than a few folks that open carry in and out of there. Granted your case sounds a lot more interesting than the one guy I ran into that decided to carry a Colt Anaconda in a shoulder rig into there.

Only thing I might have asked him aside from the make/production year of the pistol would be if he changed the springs in that Luger recently; it honestly surprises me how a lot of the folks that decide to trust a 75-100 year old surplus pistol for a carry gun don't even check to see if the springs or other small parts need replacing, especially if they've had it collecting dust in a loaded capacity for decades.

It's pretty much the same here. As our CCW class instructor said "No Gun" signs are fine, it's up to you if you think you may be better off taking a chance on being charged with a misdemeanor or the safety of you and your family.

But YMMV on that.

I know the AZ CCW is no good on CRIT land but I think there are some places where you do need a CCW in AZ to carry concealed. I need to read the statutes again.
These are a good resource for that:

Back in the mid-1980s when I was first driving big trucks cross-country, I remember the first stop in Arizona, just east of Flag...

At the time there were two diesel pumps at an old coffee shop. Might have been Winslow. Either way...

So I'm seated at the coffee shop counter, checkin' out the waitress's legs and this dude strolls in sans hat but strapped with two sixguns and sits two stools over. It was an awesome sight for this younger California kid.

Exactly.
I carry a 41 mag blackhawk in the field.
I would laugh at some glock 20 carrying dude that tried to tell me 6 rounds of 41 mag was not as good as his 15 rounds of 10mm.

My response would be "you sure must plan on missing a lot"...

I have to add the gentleman was a retired Marine. He was wearing a USMC cap.

I really wish I had asked him to have his photo taken with me.

Maybe I'll see him again. It's not that big a town.

It may not be an ideal pistol, but it’ll do the job. The number of homicides committed every year with sawed off Ruger 10/22’s and crack barrel NEF shotguns show that it’s more up to the Indian than the arrow.

My Dad had a Luger. He took it from a dead Nazi in WWII.

You are correct the Japanese were so barbaric during the rape of Nanking. Even the Nazi's were horrified .

Actually, and I’ll check those other links, I may need to go into the blue water casino…..to get some cash, the boat I’m looking at might require more cash. Not sure if that’s CRIT land or not or if the CCW is valid in the casino.

As a resident of California, there’s lots of stuff in Arizona that is foreign.

When we went to Arizona on our honeymoon, we went into a fast food restaurant and my wife locked up as we went through the door. I asked her what was wrong and she said that guy has guns.

There was a guy getting food wearing a cowboy hat and duster open carrying two revolvers. I laughed and told her it was legal in Arizona and said besides, I carry one every day. Her response was yeah but not in the open.

I think living in California conditioned her into automatically assuming a robbery or something else illegal was occurring.

The best part of the whole situation was that as we were leaving, we saw the guy riding down the street on a Segway. I’ve never seen someone dressed like a full on cowboy from head to toe riding anything besides a horse.

Granted this was in Sedona, so there’s plenty of weirdos around there.

Here, in urban and suburban locations lots are carrying...
But over 99% of those are concealed, like me.

Small country towns open carry more common.

I’m sorry it wasn’t up to your standards. Next time I plan a vacation, I’ll check with you first…

To both of us, it was a little more important at the time to spend what money we had buying a house than planning some expensive trip. Plus we both like hiking so we went to the Grand Canyon for a couple days before going to Sedona.

How else would you carry either of those two guns?
