Default CCW San Bernardino County Question

For those that have their CCW in SB County, after you had your interview how long did it actually take for you to be contacted to schedule range day? Also, how were you contacted? Phone? Email? Postal mail? I completed the interview 2 months ago and the investigator told me 2-7 months and I've also heard 2 - 6 weeks.

Contacted by phone, it took just under 3 months for me. This was recent (this year).

Folks at SBSD are doing a good job considering all the bull* they deal with from CA DOJ.

For me, still waiting... applied Nov 2018 and interviewed in January. At the time of getting my fingerprints I was told 4-6 months. I plan on calling the dept next month if I dont hear back before then.

BTW- there is a San Bernardino Thread if you haven't seen it yet that has a lot of info - http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=352781

My timeline for initial application...
04-30-15 = call to set up interview
06-24-15 = interview
07-01-15 = work received, completed, and mailed back the "employment letter".
07-28-15 = residency check
08-26-15 = received call telling me I passed the background check and to schedule a range date.
09-23-15 = received email reminder of Range Safety Class on 10-10-15. Email contained attachments on what to bring, map to the class, and instructions to bring completed Firearm Form to the class.
10-10-15 = scheduled range date.
10-13-15 = received call telling me there is an issue with one of the handguns I want listed on my permit and they wanted to know if I wanted to drop that handgun & have my permit issued with two handguns or if I wanted to delay issuance of my permit, until I resolved the handgun issue with CA DOJ BOF. (I went with dropping the handgun)
10-22-15 = received call to come pick up permit, which I did that day.

My initial experience was pretty excessive, I was in the wave of new applicants after the Berdoo shooting and they were overwhelmed. My application to card-in-pocket was 13 months, but I would expect your whole process to go much quicker. Interview to passing the background and range date was about 4-5 months.

Haha yep, pretty much lines up with my time span... Good to see they've cut that in about half over the last year or so.
