TK,
Yes, the BRRC will be doing a Garand Clinic 2/26/17 - 8:00AM (weather permitting). This clinic will be geared to new shooters as well as experienced shooters. The purpose is to familiarize attendees with shooting the iconic M1 Garand AND as a starting point in the sport of high power rifle competition There is a strong emphasis on CMP Garand, Springfield,Vintage & Modern Military matches. The clinic includes a CMP GSM A match at 100 yds. BRRC offers the use of a BRRC club Garand for the match and you may purchase club M1 ammo for use in the match. Or you may bring your own rifle...More details can be found on this page - http://brrc.org/match_clinic.html Check this page in case there are any changes in schedule - http://brrc.org There are a few sources for an M1 Garand: The CMP, Calguns Classified, CMP forum classified ads, online auctions. Buying from the CMP has a few requirements; participation in an organized event such as the clinic is one of the requirements. http://thecmp.org/cmp_sales/rifle_sales/m1-garand/ "The BRRC M-1 and AR-15 Clinic is an introduction to "known distance" rifle competition that will prepare you to participate in the Civilian Marksmanship Program's As-Issued Games matches as well as NRA Across-the-Course (XTC) matches." |
