Default Vintage Airgun Repair Shop

Anybody know of a good shop that can repair an old Benjamin 132 pump up air pistol for me ? Preferably in northern Cali, but can ship it out for a good quality shop.

NOT in your neighborhood... BUT.. I recommend Tim @ Mac1 airguns in Socal. I was in his shop on Thurs (Benjamin Marauder), The guy is very knowledgeable and prices are very reasonable IMHO. I know that he does work via USPS... One of the "Old timers" who knows airguns... Good luck !

Baker Airguns reseals old airguns and sells them for a living on his website and on Gunbroker. He also now sells some new airguns. He will reseals many types of old airguns. He has been around a long time.

An airgun ramble: Back in the 80s I sent an Diana 23 circa 1966-67 to Beemans and they went completely through it, came back in as new shooting condition. Alas now its just part of a corporate hegemony. I met the owners when they had their main store in San Rafael back in the 80s. You could go into the store and speak to the Beemans as they often stood behind the counters there, approachable.

I bought a FWB 124 in 177 with their top custom tune when I picked up the Diana, it had a stock of unequaled quality that cost several times what the action did and the powerplant sent pellets close to 900fps and some over that. They got into firearms too, selling high end Walther pistols like the P88 9mm which were even then going for serious money.

Now the Beeman website reads like a company that could sell rubber dog poop or any other commodity, ZERO personality. Like so many family owned companies, when there is no family to carry on the traditions they become just brands with not much behind them. Too bad as so much is lost and it seems more and more brands are just names stamped onto something that resembles great products but are really just words.

I doubt you could walk into their "facility" and just chat up some interest and have some master "smith" check your airgun out and then get back into the shop and return with something fixed.
