For CCW holders, do you carry an extra mag(s)?
For CCW holders, do you carry an extra mag(s)? There will probably be a bunch of non CCW holders who want to put their 2cent in but until you carry away from the range...

Depends, if Im carring the G48 I almost always do. G19 with 15+1, I'm probably 60/40 on it, but I should carry a spare mag more often then I do. Work from home has usually left me with just in and outs so I justify less.

Carry every day from the time i get dressed until i go to bed. Extra mag in a neomag pocket holder. Magnet is strong enough to work with factory glock mags through the plastic. First learned about them from Pat Mac. Keeps the magazine positioned correctly in your pocket for easy access and draw. Not cheap but very well made.

Same here.
Unless I’m going nearby, then sometimes the G19/23 will do. I carry the FS spare mag (G17/22) for the 19/23 or the 26. |

Maybe about 50% of the time, yeah I'll carry a spare mag with a neomag. I'll really only carry a spare if I'm planning on being away from home for more than an hour.

Always have at least one. Not because I think I'll get into some protracted gun fight, but because I've seen enough mag failures to think that if something goes wrong it's more often than not the mag.

I carry an extra mag about 90% of the time and have for 30+ years. Just like carrying a gun at all, I prepare for the worst case scenario...within reason.
You will have a lot of people say that the average gunfight is less than 3 rounds fired. Interesting statistic but you have no guarantee your gunfight will be “average”. Statistically you are unlikely to need a gun at all, so those of us who carry are already bucking the trend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I didn’t vote as my option isn’t really present. I do not carry a spare on my person but have two speedloaders in a pouch in the door of my car. I figure I’m always close to my car as I’m typically running errands and what not, and it’s better than nothing.
If I’m at work then I’m armed anyway for work with 25 lbs worth of stuff and plenty of spare mags, and that’s like 50 hours of my week not including when I’m en route to work or on the way home.

No.
However, you may decide to carry extra ... your choice.

That's a New York reload. I am a big fan of that method.

I carry spares only when part of the holster, e.g., Tier 1 appendix. Anything that is pocket carry or a minimalist holster for a quick strap-on, no.

For single stack carry your going to need a reload.
For a higher capacity carry and you really need all those rounds, you'r going to need a reload. Either way, if stuff goes down, your going to need a reload, who wants to be half empty or empty in a SD situation when shots are fired.. It just seams like a good idea to carry a spare..

Always carry at leas one spare for two Reasons:
I carry single stack, so I want more than 9 and if I have a mag malfunction, catch the baseplate on a car doors and rip it off or inadvertently hit mag release on draw due to my expert skill level, I want a spare. |

Depends what I am carrying and where I am going. P938 or P238 I will always carry an extra. P365 (12+1) maybe.

Almost never.
I took an extra mag in my pocket once. A round came out of the mag and fell on the ground at a party when I took my phone out. Never comfortable with the sidecar holster.

Friend of mine carried a SIG - 16 rounds.
Miami Classic shoulder rig with 2 custom-made mag pouches to carry SIG 20 rounders - 40 rounds, 56 rounds total. Like the guy in Unforgiven said, "Don't want to get shot for lack of shootin' back". |

as many as I can hang on the belt and extra in a body vest and jacket pockets. Up to at least 6 extra and three knives. A fight has one rule “WIN at all cost”
Once you’ve been there or realize the frightening truth - you too will go out the door better prepared. No idea how many attackers you may face.

I answered "No" because "sometimes", or "depends", wasn't listed. If I go below Cajon Pass, the answer is yes. If I stay in the high desert, the answer is "sometimes" and/or "depends". Most of the time there is a spare mag in the truck or car.
