Definitely recommend Modern Samurai Project but if you can’t get in on a class or you want to get the fundamentals down first, Ravenwing is the way to go. These guys are rubber stamped by Modern Samurai Project. |

The original guy who use the red dot goes by a few names -Jim Grover and Kelly McCann I think is one of them.
His videos or some are on u tube. He teaches a drill where the non shooter holds a stick in front of the shooter. The goal is to get you to pull the gun up high for count 3 It enables the eyes to find the dot or sights faster. — My initial question is one about recommending the right instructor. One that offers a class to benefit you - not too basic- not too advanced How long have you been self defense style shooting? How many days of classes have you taken shooting from a holster?

Present your extended 'perfect' firing posture to a point maybe 1 inch from the drywall.
Thumbtack a Solo cup to the wall. Dry practice your presentation to the cup a million times. When you stop hitting the cup you will have better muscle memory for getting the gun to the right spot and you will have been forced into a much 'flatter' extension of the gun. |
