Are you starting with a kit or just a plate of steel?

It’s a great looking knife. Can you walk us through the steps?

The blades are blanks made by Morakniv of Sweden. They have rat tail through tangs, come in high carbon, Sandvik stainless, or laminate (carbon sanwiched between stainless), 3.9, 4.3 and 5.9 inch sizes. The edge is scary sharp, they use scandigrind edge geometry. Pommels and guards are from a supplier in Ukraine who casts them by hand. The antler is cut to size into a handle and drilled for the tang; brass and pommel are fitted to the handle and blade. When all the parts fit as they should, time for epoxy. I got the 30 min cure so plenty of time to make sure everything is OK. Following day shape the handle more to flush with the brass, apply 2 coats of Truoil for finish.

Here is the latest one I made, without guard, more like native American hunting knife style. 3.9" carbon blade, mule deer antler handle.

Nice knives. Did you cast the pommels and guards?
