Default last incarnation...

The 4th generation AR from the same basic pile of parts...some have been changed over the last 2 years.

RRA upper and barrel
Stag lower
Custom home-made free-float forarm with modular rails for sight, bipod, etc...
Elcan Spectre DR- grrrreatest optic ever.
TiN caoted bolt
Surfire MB
MMG grip
desert tan Duracoate
The FPG is a versa pod mount with stud cut off- works GREAT for a handstop in positional shooting.

Default Mini Me

My first love, in a new sexy black dress, complete with "anti-scout" scope- Trijicon ACOG mini 1.5x20. Custom mount holds it on the rear tang with two 1/4x20 screws from inside- my work. Arms room tritium front site. Barrel mod and brake are my work.

might be a Marine, but that magpul dressed Piston driven Vltor in FDE is not standard USMC issue. They don't field streamlight either.

and no self respecting Marine would mix an ARMS rear with troy front BUIS.

the horror...

oh the humanity...

They are both Troy, and the peq15 is not from the Corps. Unfortunately they do not let us take those home. I was lucky enough to snag one off a LEO. Also that is an Insight Procyon WX150 not a streamlight, and I could mount ether to my issued weapon if I so desired.

This is what it looks like for now. The fake can just added too much front weight, it had to go.

it was more the fake can. but i dont like the look of the fake can and the moe handguards. another reason i did not like the handguards is because i shoot a lot benched at ASR. with a bipod mounted on the handguards it wobbles all over the place

Default bubba stock

my 3 sons (ages 5,9 &12) all love to shoot the AR. 16 inch version or the 24 SS bull barrel. $250 plus for a sweet stock? no thanks. we are building, carving sanding customizing our own stock. (work in progress)

here's my tactiRAD ar. note rivet right next to trigger guard. kaiser lower, sabre upper, dubstar handguard, vltor emod, tangodown pg, tapco vertigrip, streamlight m3. cant decide on putting the aimpoint on, i like my yhm irons. and no fancy sling, the surplus one works good enough for me...

No sense messin with what works. I love my YHM BUIS. The only reason I'm adding glass is for reaching out on coyotes.

im going for comfy. perfect cheek rest. maybe put some neoprene in the cheek rest. nice broad shoulder contact area. the best part is we're working on it all together. well paint it flat black when were done. maybe a drop leg mono pod under the rear, however i would like to teach my boys to just use a fist under the stock. as far as concept goes i think THIS 50 BMG STOCK IS SWEET. minus the adjustables obviosly. ill just put everything i neeed in with a sander...

I totally dig that. I like the rear monopod, but gotta teach the boys proper technique for when they don't have the crutch. Neoprene would be comfy! I was thinking of building a stock, but using aluminum pipe, neoprene and some plastic, maybe PVC.
