Default Air gun targets- what do you like?

I’m making a pellet gun “shooting gallery” in my backyard for my son and so far I’ve placed steel targets that I already had, I hung some bowling pins in the trees and I bought some inexpensive popper targets specific to pellet guns.
I also wanted to share that I found this inexpensive improvised target that another guy suggested.

Anyways - does anyone have targets they like to shoot at? Something that is reactive is always a plus - cow bell?

Lastly - I’ve noticed this forum isn’t too popular. What are the popular airgun forums now?

Thanks !

Soda Bottles

Remove the cap and drill a hole to hold a stem valve

Pump up bottle to 60 PSI

Bottles pop with a large bang

Caps are reusable

Proper distance is required as parts can and will fly

Nice- how do you secure the stem?

I like that idea- would these work?

Thanks - I like it. I don’t have a lot of room but my “shooting gallery” is coming along. Here’s a couple of pics

I've shot them with .22LR as well, but they get dented pretty quick with a .22LR. For a .22LR, I keep the range at 40+/- yards. Sometimes I hang soup cans from the brush. Punch a hole in the bottom of the can, and thread a piece of line through it, etc., you get the idea. If you have enough room, you can make a walking trail with different types of targets at different distances. I made my own version of "Field Target". It's all fun.

If you're interested in trapping pellets, I like folded carpet remnants stuffed in a wooden box. Stops everything & keeps it pretty quiet.

I like extra strong mints , about the size of a quarter and they shatter on impact . 4 packs for less than a dollar , so they're pretty cheap .

Unusable .223/5.56 shells, if you can dial in your scope to hit those at 25 yards then it's dialed in

All of the 'candy stuff' is fun, but can get messy and attract ants, mice and rats if not cleaned up. Paintballs are fun, but really messy as well.
Ice cubes make a reactive target and don't attract ants.
Plastic army men make decent targets as well.

I use some schedule 40 white PVC that I cut into 3/4 - 1" lengths, then painted so they stand out from the background. At 75 - 100 yards, they're a reasonable challenge, easy to recover, fairly durable, cheap and don't get kidnapped by rodents.
