But as far back as 2008,and again in 2015 , he was using presses that cam over . Was it a lie then or now ? Or faulty memory ?

In fact he said that he was the only person using the RCBS Rock Chucker press with a piggy back , and it was a cam over ( bump) press . That alone proves he has thousands of presses , if it was true he was the only one using it and there were thousands produced ( must have purchased them all).

We must give him a break , he has got to be the oldest person alive to ever reload and could suffer from a memory problem from lead exposure .

Again, all of my Herter presses cam over, the last RCBS is used I used that cammed over was an A2, I had a friend that called and complained it locked up. He could not get lower the handle.

I went to check, I took a big wrench from the big wrench drawer and unscrewed the die from the press and then I lowered the handle. He wanted to know what went wrong, there was no explaining to him the difference between a cam over press and a non cam over press.

I measured the amount of cam over on his A2 press, it had .037" cam over + a full turn on the die because he was sizing cases that had more resistance to sizing than his press and dies could overcome,, I was surprised he did not render the press scrap.

Anyhow, I changed the way he sized cases but getting him to quit using Imperial and Dillon case lube was not going to happen; seems there was something demeaning about using a lube named 'NO NAME LUBE".

The case came out with the die, and all of those years he claimed he never stuck a case. We had to call it something else.

I did not have a Piggy Back, I had 2. I can not say any reloaders that had a Piggy Back 11 press knew the Rock chucker did not cam over because the Piggy Back and Biggy back 11 had a one way clutch meaning if the ram changed defections the change in directions would render the one way clutch scrap.

After all these years none of my Rock Chuckers cam over. Changing directions at the top is what the ram does when it is lowered. the one way clutch prevents the ram from changing directions.

I said there are presses that do not cam over, I said I had 14 presses that do cam over. And I said none of my Rock Chuckers cam over.

It goes back to that thing about me being the only reloader that can measure cam over. It is a lonely place when other reloaders do not know what 'cam over' is.

As soon as I finish the cut and paste from the other sites I will add them to this post , they are from about 2005 until 2018 .

Same poster . Or maybe I will start another post in off topic about it , hmmmmm what to do , what to do .

Oh yeah , you even claimed to know my uncle that taught me . Guess whom that might be .

July 18 , 2008 "I have had 5 Rock Chuckers, I modified one to cam over"
July 18 , 2008 "I have modified Rock Chuckers to cam over"

So same day same site , which is it 1 or more " Modified" RCBS ?

How about this quote from July 18 , 2008 "When it comes to reloading there are no standards "

Guess that will be enough for now .

Oh Yeah July 18, 2008

"I expressed a fear of the black rifle and mental midgets, all of my fears have some true. I did not express my concerns on a reloading forum but I did call the NRA"

I modified one of my Rock Chuckers to cam over. And I was involved in increasing cam over on am A2 RCBS press. The cam over was increased to .035". The amount of bump on the A3 was .035". Again, bump is a function of the press, reloaders believe they can bump the shoulder back. It was then and still is impossible to bump the shoulder back or move it back.

A whole back I said I have press instructions from the late 50s/early 60s. Some of the instructions covered cam over and non camover presses. Presses that cammed over were also called bump presses.

Again, I have over 12 Herter presses, all of my Herter presses are cam over press, The instructions cover dee adjustments; die adjustment for the cam over press is different than die adjustment for a non camover press.

He makes it all so confusing no cam over , yes cam over , I don't have any rock chucker presses that cam over , I modified a rock chucker to cam over .

The Rock Chucker goes into a bind first. When it goes into a bind it kicks the ram back at the bottom and forward at the top.

There is not one reloaders on this forum that can measure cam over and there is not one reloaders that can explain why it is necessary the die must be adjusted differently on the cam over press than on the non cam over press.

Back in time: I was the only one then and I am the only one now unless one of you want to change your mind.

There was a a reloader that made the claim he was the one that started a new term and he wanted credit for his effort. Another reloader that is good at Google and searching archives told him "not so fast", he said he did the Google search and searched the archives and found two mentions of the term the selfish reloader was claiming.

He said F. Guffey was the author of both post.

I said nothing.

This proves reloaders can be around something all their lives and not understand it. My vise grips have a design that was invented in about 1934, the design is leaver lock.

By avoiding the question and not answering , you really did answer .

And by all accounts you must be between 100 and 116 years old , glad you have had a long life . The oldest and only reloader to know stuff and do stuff .

In the very early years I made a case sorter for case length; it allowed me to sort cases by the thousandth as fast as I could pick them up. Back then reloaders thought the datum was a line

And you are still blaming me for you knowing nothing.

And then there is tension; again, I have tension gages, all of my tension gages are marked off in pounds except for the deviation gages, they are marked off in thousandths and measured in pounds.

Not my fault, there is no conversion for tensions to pounds or pounds to tensions. But if there was a way to measure tensions I would be the only one that could do it. Interference fit, crush fit? I have put some big stuff together, if there was a way to measure tensions I could do it.

You guys have too much time invested in cute little sayings and then you get all out of shape when I ask you to measure tensions.

I figured that one out , about the same time I got a guess on his age .

When my father started giving answers like this , and not remembering even who I was I let him ramble to make him as happy as I could his last few years with us .

I think I know what he meant by caming over. His position is that the linkage does not cam over until the ram reaches tdc and then starts to come down.

See, we’re just caming. He’s the only one who cams over.

I don't think that's true. I think the problem is he has one naming convention, and sticks with that rather than try to actually communicate. If someone doesn't agree with what he said, how he said it, it's a complete disagreement. He's right because what he said was so vaguely described that only he knows what he said. Which is why he keeps bringing up random names for things and old tools and such that nobody but an old timer has heard of: Keeps him relevant in his mind.

In any case, whether he does or doesn't know isn't really an issue, because he isn't helping anyone who reads his posts.
