Default Idaho Passes Constitutional Carry for ALL AMERICANS

Didn’t see anything in this, so hope I’m not late to the game. Looks like it’s no longer just Idaho residents who can carry without a permit in their state... H.B. 516 passes and was signed into law allowing all Americans to carry without a permit (constitutional carry) in the state of Idaho.

True. Very gun friendly state to say the least. Gun stores and ranges are open although I wouldn't go to an indoor range. Gun stores are considered an essential business. My outdoor range with key card access is open and deserted on weekday mornings.

There is a small anti-2A contingent, but I don't know that they have much of a foothold.

Great, what does this do to those of us non-residents with an ID enhanced permit which we use for CCW in other states?

I can’t answer that, because I don’t know, but I would guess nothing changes.

I am worried they drop their permit all together and then there will be no reciprocity any longer. I have UT and AZ already fro outside CA (I have CA too) but I used ID mostly since it covers one state I need

Why would they do that? They’ll still have a permit system for those who travel etc.

This. Relax as they will still have permits. Arizona went CC years ago and they still issue. Nothing changed with them and so it will be with Idaho. carry on!

We are not dropping our standard or enhanced concealed WEAPONS permits.

This new law just cleans up our constitutional carry laws to allow any lawful and legal person in the United States to conceal carry a HANDGUN in the state of Idaho without government permission slip.

Concealed carry of deadly weapons other than a handgun still requires a permit.

Anyone can also open carry here as well.
