Colt Gold Cup BSTS
This is original bright stainless, have the box and label showing the finish.
About 1996. Used but in great shape put wood grips on for pic. Really a great looking piece.

Colt 1911 pics only, c'mon Colt fans!
Mostly Colt still worked over by Don Williams at the Action Works, new barrel, ignition parts and Spegal grips added since.

Nothing custom, rare, or old here. Just good old fashioned iron and wood.
Series 70 Govt. Model. Series 80 Commander I did replace the Commander’s MSH. For some reason Colt thought it a good idea to put a flat polymer MSH on these guns. Yuck. Replaced it with a steel, arched, lanyard loop MSH. The trigger on mine is aluminum. Read that some were polymer at one time. That woulda had to go. Double yuck. I need to pick up a repro usgi shoulder holster one of these days and start carrying one of these on my hikes GI Joe adventure team style. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I believe this to a be second year M1991a1. It has the large billboard along with tm. It also has the parkerized finish Instead of the later blue finish.

Here's the build sheet. The guy I got it from inherited it from his dad about 12 years ago. He said his dad bought the Colt new and sent it to Tim for work. Other than Tim firing for function after the custom work was completed, the seller said he didn't think his dad ever shot it (before or after having the work done). The Colt is from 1979 and I do plan on shooting it.
