I’ve gonna work on some vinyl decal ideas.

Current recommendation is an AK or AR with a California shaped mag and The Million Mag March above and below. Or maybe just free the republic.

That would be pretty awesome if you can do it.

I'm going to pass on the magpul shirt after the way they cancelled a bunch of orders.

Now if Brownells, PSA, Prepper, Jestice, or Riflegear do something? I'm definitely in.

The great April mag release.

That's not catchy or specific at all.

I'm accepting "Magapalooza" and "Million Mag March"

"Magagettin'" also wins some points from me.

Million Mag March sounds more catchy than Magapalooza. Unless its MAGApalooza on a big red hat and in white font.

It'd be rad to have a shrink wrap style. Slip on, heat gun, done

If more than a few people are interested in getting one of these, I can put together a group order.

I was going to order one for myself @ $27. If I order more than 10, the price drops to $16ea.

My wife made some shirts to commemorate our taste of freedom this week. We'll donate 50% of all profits to CRPA. These are priced low, but prices will go up as sales increase. If anyone has a request for anything different, let us know and she can make a custom for you.

I'm not sure if this considered being a "vendor" for forum purposes (please let me know if it is).

Anyway, congrats to all of us for a busy and fruitful week! Here's hoping that it isn't just a fond memory a couple years from now, but instead a routine everyday event.

Really like some of the designs. Not being rude, I'd be willing to pay more for a better quality shirt. Preferably 100% cotton v-neck. Shoot me a PM if that's possible. I'm assuming, and we all know what that does, that your bride has a screen print shop so that could be an option?

She actually uses the print-on-demand services with Amazon and Etsy. Let me know which design you want (or any changes) and she says she’ll post an item in her Etsy shop with a nice V-neck option. I’ll then post a link here or send you a DM. Cheers!

My guess is there was no direct connection to a CPRA or NRA donation. And rather than reach out to work with the dude, they just disappeared it.

They did it to my thread too. Like I’m in it for the money or something

The fix is in for that NatGeo state outline with a bullet resting on top and a font straight out of Red Dead Redemption, that might raise $75

13 more orders and my shirt ships plus CPRA gets $100 and any excess if more shirts get ordered such that the shirt cost is reduced.

Loving the ideas and shirts, especially the ones by Kraken and Horton!

Also wanted to share and cross post some designs I came up with:

Would love feedback or just comments in general.

If you think the shirts are awesome, you can pick one up and support the CRPA here: https://teespring.com/stores/cyanide-design

And you can follow the donation updates here: https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/....php?t=1524737

Both are supposed to be takes on the Texas Revolution's Gonzales Flag. With the "Rifle" edition being combined with the California state flag, I felt like moving the star to the center would better relate it to the "Come And Take It" flag and justify the text, otherwise it would have no other elements from the Gonzales Flag.

Would you be interested in seeing a more California flag centric design with the star in the top left hand corner?

I felt the action was appropriate.
At minimum they should have moved him to the for sale other than guns category, at maximum nuke the thread.

They're cool designs. The Gonzales' Flag one is fine. CA flag should be correct for the star

I'm not saying if you changed it, I'd buy it though, so don't do anything off my opinion

Hello colossians323,

I'd like to personally address this.

At no point did I ever pull a bait and switch nor did I state I was specifically in it for the profits like you are saying.

The original plan and post indicated that at $25/shirt that $5 would be donated to the CPRA for the epic week we all enjoyed.

After taking the advice from a fellow member that if I used Teespring there would be no need to hit the minimum order amount of 60 shirts for the shirts to print - and this is the route that I decided to take.

One of the differences with using Teesprings platform is that they issue 1099s. I believe this is where your misunderstanding stems from.

I stated that due to Teespring handling all the financial end that I would no longer be donating $5/shirt on behalf of those that ordered. I reflected the original plan and post of taking the $25/shirt to $19.99, hoping those that ordered would keep their end.

Due to the 1099, anything and everything made would affect me personally out of pocket regardless if 100% of anything made was donated as I replied to you the original thread. I take the standardized deduction and not an itemized deduction on my returns, which means I do not and cannot write off anything.

I.E. If I profited $50 off the shirts and donated the $50 it would still be counted as income and I will be taxed as such even if it was completely donated as you cannot go the standardized deduction route and itemized. You choose one or the other on your returns.

Take it as you will but I was trying to do the same thing as the original plan while making sure I would not be penalized down the road when taxes come out of my own pocket and the prices of the shirts reflect that.

ETA thanks for responding, it appears we might just have simple understanding of how finances work

Charitable donations are still a write off, which would offset your income that you think you would be paying taxes on.

I have no problem with you profiting, but your understanding of finances are a little confusing.

Why would you quit donating because you might be taxed on income? That is called income tax
I have never worried about being taxed on my charitable donations.

I give because I want to give. I don't give for a tax write off. that is just a side benefit.

Not all my charitable donations are write offable. There have been many a calgunner that has benefited from a donation from me that I did not worry about the tax consequences for.

That's good enough for me. I appreciate you taking the time to come up with a cool design for us and hopefully you can repost the link in the proper "for sale" forum so others can grab items also.
