Default Leather IWB for 1911 Commander - skinny people

Hello y'all,
Searching for a leather IWB holster for my Dan Wesson CBoB. The perennial favorite on many searches has been Milt Sparks, however TTGunleather is also popular. Before making the splurge on Brownells for a Summer Special 2, I wanted to know how the SS2 fit for slim folks (I'm 5'7'' and 145lbs). Does the location of the straps on the SS2 add more bulk and should I consider holsters with the straps on the outside like the Criterion/VM2 models or even the Mikes Special offered by TTGunleather.

Thanks in advance,
V

Milt is a solid choice you won't be disappointed. but take a look at this guy too.

They are beautiful, and the person who told me about them said it is comfortable too.

Personally I have Wilson Sharkskin, but I don't carry IWB.

Anyone know if the Summer Special 2 in cowhide holds up in hot environment? I know that horsehide is "better" for that purpose. The long wait from MS is really long but I guess good things come when you wait.

Yeah, I think I'm going to have him make an IWB for an HK2000 and an exotic leather one for my 1911 OWB (to show off). Not worried about the comfort of an OWB but always concerned with IWB.

It holds up well, but it is leather. The Versa Max has been really popular with the 1911 crowd, the lead time is pretty high right now.

I don't carry a 1911 but do carry other full size guns. I have a Milt Sparks VM2 for all my carry guns and use it pretty much exclusively. I don't think you can find a substantially better, or more durable choice.

Thanks everyone for the insight. Just placed an order for TTGunleather. Support local when I can.
