Anybody that uses the term polymer has no clue what it actually means. At least plastic actually narrows it down.

The Amish I have met have a better sense of humor than some gun owners here. Maybe make your own list if you don’t like what I wrote?

I haven't bought clothes since I started shooting, only tools and brass, but now I need some new shirts because I cut them all up to make cleaning rags. I look like a bum but the safe not so much.

You might as well say your gun is made of "stuff" instead of polymer. A steak is full of polymers. It's just as bad as saying something is made of aircraft grade aluminum. We have just about every type of aluminum at work for making aircraft parts. Don't even get me started on mil-spec.

You buy your wife a little bottle of Hoppes for Valentine's Day and you tell her you love it when she wears just a touch of it behind each ear.

You know you've 'arrived' as a seasoned gun owner when the LGS has the 4473 ready with a firearm that is just what you 'needed' after you drive up, but before you walk through the door; even if you didn't know you were buying something today.

I had 254 fully-automatic military grade weapons in my inventory. Not one ever ran away, or shot anyone in anger. But, they were mine on every inventory we accomplished, I had to sign it. I had to test them out on occasion to make sure they were safe for my troops.

When the shop you frequent will call you or set something aside that comes in that they know you’d probably like and/or buy.

When your significant other says, “I feel like every gun is one of your “grail” guns.

You’re a seasoned gun owner when you successfully install yet another gun safe without the wife realizing it. “Wait What??, no honey, I’ve always had 3 gun safes”.

When your AR rifle case mimics a violin case.

When you buy a new gun, and the gun shop orders in ALL the accessories for it knowing you'll buy them.

You’re a seasoned gun owner when you can go to a gun store in a free state and not find any gun to buy because you already have everything at home.

You’re a seasoned gun owner when someone posts about gun in Calguns and you have one like it in the safe.

You’re a seasoned gun when your safe is actually a room in the basement.

True.

Very True!

#5) Actively thinking of new ways to justify that new gun to the wife is completely normal.

We don't even pretend anymore

#7) Each time a shortage comes around, you go sit with your guns and ammo for some quality time. Then remind all of the noobs they need to be prepared next time.

Yes indeed. Fun to get the blue tape and label all the ammo cans. Or recount the rounds and record into the Gun app.

#8) Words like: Bushing, pull weight, finish, purchase, LPI, 10 yards, brass, grip mean something entirely different to you than the average FUD.

Minus -2 points for you OP, for not using "FUD" properly.

#9) Calguns is your homepage for your browser.
Well of course....
#10) There is no such thing as a “completed” collection.
I don't even pretend on this either.

...I just made these up but if you have any funny ideas. Put em’ down!
Going into a gun store is like Norm walking into the bar in Cheers.
The gun store owner recognizes you not by just by sight, but by your voice when you call on the phone.
You can't tell people how many guns you own, not because you are being secretive or discreet. You have honestly lost track.
Putting long arms away in the safe is like Tetris. Very exact Tetris. If even one optics is not in the right place, or one rifle is switched with the other rifle, the puzzle no longer fits into the safe and you have to start all over again.

I'm a seasoned album collector and I started my collection at Gemco in the 60s. The building is still standing and over the years several businesses have occupied it.

When you honestly don’t care which guns your wife adopts from your safes.

Seriously though, it’s when you can say: “I’m going to get another gun” and her only response is: “what time will you be back so I can have supper ready for you” AND she has it ready an hour after that because she knows you’re always an hour late.

While you are eating, she decides if the gun is hers or not.

a seasoned gun owner doesnt show up at the range all "Dolled up" in the latest tactical clothing, full beard trying to look like a former "operator" why is it always the young bearded guys trying to give tactical, survival, armchair quarterback advice?

it's almost always some weird looking bearded guy? or some guy with a shaved head and a full beard?

When you are at the LGS with your wife, and she spots a beautiful pre-lock S&W "J" frame in the consignment case
and announces "lets start the paperwork on that one."
