Does Aero Precision really have an M4E1 Gen 2 lower receiver?
The salesperson at Turner's got annoyed when I questioned it so I just went along with it.

Perhaps the Gen 2 specifies where it's manufactured? I have the same SKU and it says Tacoma, WA on it. I also have an "older" black M4E1 that said Lakewood, CA - perhaps that is the gen 1?
I would think there's not noticeable differences if there is truly a different generation...

These are the listed Gen 2 improvements according to Aero Precision:
Upper Tension Screw - Allows users to fine tune the fit of the upper and lower receiver through the use of a nylon tipped tensioning set screw inserted in the grip tang of the lower receiver. This provides a tight fit with any standard AR15 upper receiver. Increased Magwell Flare - Allows for easier insertion of magazines and provides a sleeker look.
