You need a 5.45 AK in your inventory!

Sorry not familiar, looks nice (9mm range?) but thinking more 600-1000yds.

Not sure what we are looking for, I say cover all bases.

EDIT: I do like the Mini30, that was my first semi rifle. Got sent to Accuracy Systems for you know goodies.

I love it.. it's perfect. Those darn Ruger Mini's have a worse addiction then the ARs and 1911s

I'm not a huge 10/22 fan so I'll suggest a Marlin model 60. You got to have a 22lr only because of how much ammo for that gun is out there.

Got to love the Mossberg 500

Just to cover another caliber, how do you feel about a .38/.357 lever gun?

That's only my "Modern Tactical" long gun armory. My dozen guns I use for Cowboy Action, and modern rim-fires and hunting long guns, and handguns not listed......

My scoped Mini-30 is good to 300 yards. I have a hand load using a .308" Hornady 125 grain OTM (the same they use in their American Gunner 300 BLK) over a max charge of H4198.
It gives 2550ish FPS from a radar chrony, and is about 1.25 MOA. Thats about 200 fps faster that steel case AK ammo, and 300 FPS faster than my 300 BLK loads for the Mini-14 and M4 300 build.

My 70 year old eyes and hands aren't any good past 300...so if it is farther than that, it's escape and evade eyes and evade.

Yep, I did miss the PCC9. I tried the FMK 9mm AR but really did not like it once I got a chance to shoot it. The FMK was NOT as accurate as the PCC9, which was dead nuts on (break a clay pigeon on the 75 yard berm every time) with 9BPLE +P+.

A really nice PCC9 with threaded muzzle and Ruger OEM High-Viz front sight came into the shop at a really good price (under $600), and I grabbed it.

My EDC handguns are a Glock 43X (IWB and OWB), a Ruger LC9/LC380 (pocket carry) I have both slides and barrels THANK YOU RUGER, and either Springfield XD45 or my 1992 Gen 2 Glock 19 (was my LEO Duty weapon) when I work the gun shop. I also have a 1911A1, a 469 S&W 9mm, and a Colt King Cobra 3" I occasionally carry.

The Ruger LC380 is on the Commiefornia list, and Ruger sells a LC9 conversion set for it.

I'll do some pics of the long guns in the next couple days.

I have a Ruger 10-22 in a walnut stock my wife gave me in 1973. Still ticking and still dead nuts accurate. A lot of cotton tails have ended up in the cook pot from the 10-22. I do have a HRA AR-7 survival rifle and a Walther P-22CA that live in the RV.

I have two .44-40 Lever Guns: a Marlin 1894 Century Limited and a HREA 1860 Henry I use for cowboy action, well as a Marlin 336 in 30-30 with a 4x scope.

And Brass Knuckles.
And Black Jacks (Saps) and Sap Gloves!
And Shurikens (the ones that say “Ninja” on the front & back.
And Balisongs, OTF Switch Blades, and side opening autos. Gravity knives too. SCUBA Knife (a big one) and a spear gun.
That’s just off the top of my head.
LOL Now that you mention it, I do have bayonets for a couple of the long guns...

BTW, my main hime defense carbine is the Mini-14 in 300 BLK. just over 6 pounds in a Ruger factory poly stock, with Fiocchi 125 grain SSTs, it will. F*CK someone up, without over penetrating. They blow up in 2"-3" and stop in 13"-14".

BTW, In the 90s, we actually carried OPNs (Orcutt Police Nunchucks) on the SO as our impact weapons.

I've have tried bows, etc, but can't hit the broad side of a barn with them!

Since everyone loves gun-porn, See OP #1 for pics. Mossberg and Mini-14 GB from the web, as I did not have good pic s of them handy. The 300 BK Mini-14 is now in a Ruger factory Poly stock.

My realignment was mostly got rid of everything and only kept the DI AR designs for my main ones, none are factory, all mismatched, all are take down.. mgi, drd, lmt.. funny thought I had was in a decade or two if replacements were needed the only thing people could get were unbranded norinco CQ parts from the dark web. lol! How sad..
for hd currently a mossberg 500 bullpup with mini slugs and pistol 45. I don’t run featureless. If I needed something other than the shotgun and pistol it probably would be something worse than we’ve all been through of just total lawlessness. My ARs are just range toys that I really never use which is also kinda sad I need to go to the range more often and start buying ammo again.

In original terminology forged and AKM were mutually exclusive

True! That's why I said AKM rather than AK-47 (like stupid politicians do in their ban bills!0
