Default Valid GC for Orange County?

I would like to know if the good cause statement I plan to give will carry any weight. As a field engineer, I travel to job sites with my work truck and encounter the public on many occasions, approx. 90% of the time. I also travel very often to remote areas of the central valley (bakersfield, taft, coalinga) and I am required to stay at shady hotels/motels out there (law enforcement response time would obviously be significant). I also have valuable equipment I carry in my work truck at all times, our company actually experienced a break where $10k worth of equipment was stolen out of a truck. I am really hoping there is a way where I can proceed without having to get a letter from my company because the owner is anti-gun. Thanks.

I have a couple of friends who haul expensive equipment daily for work. One just had to provide a pay stub and was approved. The other had to provide pictures of his equipment in addition to the pay stub and was approved. None of them were asked to provide a written letter from their manager regarding employment. So if you can prove any of those, I'd say you'll have a good chance of getting approved.

OP, your post is your good cause. Expand on what you wrote and give specific details. Be prepared to show proof of what you claim with photographs of your equipment as well as a letter from your employer stating that they are ok with you carrying for work. Be prepared to show your business license as well as your professional credentials. I know you say your employer is anti-gun, however, the OCSD will require a letter from them if that is part of your GC!

All they wanted were paystubs in my case.
