Default Concealed carry firearm

Not sure if this is a CCW question but I wanted to ask. I have off roster firearms I purchased from a LEO am I able to add those to my CCW and carry them?? They are cal compliant with 10 round mags. It was issued by Fresno police department.

Your permit was issued by Fresno PD and not Fresno County Sheriff??

And in no case that I am aware of does it matter how you got your off roster gun. The fact that you got it from LEO does not matter. The only thing that usually matters is that it is registered to you in AFS and it is not listed as single shot in AFS.

Why not just call Fresno and ask them. I'm sure they will give you an accurate answer.

Someone here can probably answer the question for you, but can you clarify that your permit is from Fresno PD and not Fresno Sheriff? I only ask because most PD do not issue, they delegate the task to the Sheriff. Some PD do issue though, but I have never heard of anyone with a Fresno PD permit.

Anyhow, if you can clarify which agency issued I am sure someone here can help you with more info for that agency’s rules.

If varies by county/city, all depends on the person you are dealing with.

One of my permit weapons is off roster. The only discussion was both the Deputies wanted to try it out and argued over who got to go first- I said "whoever buys lunch first". Burp.
