Default $9 Marmot Brass Catcher Review

I always thought hanging brass-catchers to be the ugliest, most unappealing gun accessory ever invented. It’s like putting a colostomy bag on a rifle and I have never wanted to put one on any of my guns. Until now.

Recently I’ve found myself shooting 22LR, at a range that has a dirt floor. Sweeping up brass with a broom just causes dust storms that annoy fellow shooters and 22LR brass is too small to get picked up by standard center-fire brass rollers. Fortunately, Marmot Tactical contacted me and offered to send me one of their universal brass catchers to try out and review.

Son-of-a-gun, it captured almost all of my ejected brass and made clean up a snap. I still think it makes my rifle look ugly. But it keeps me from bending down to picking up each 22LR shell out of dirt, I'll happily buy one for each of my rifle bags.

And if you reload, this will make sorting so much easier and foolproof than having to sort your brass for randos you sweep up.

That's exactly how I feel haha. Picking up brass at the end of a training day is the worst though, especially under the hot desert sun. I curse myself almost every time for not having a brass catcher. And yet I still refuse to buy one.

Is it just me or does the voice not match the face?
