Try elsewhere!
At the time I think it was $20 each but that was 5+ years ago.
Some PD's will do them or so I have heard.

Thanks for the pricing info!

I called around and found a place $25 per card! I'm hitting that place up tomorrow. It's a UPS store so I'll have all my other paper work ready to go and I should be able to send it to AZ right from the UPS store unless they require USPS for some reason. I gotta check that out to be sure.

It goes to a PO Box so probably needs to go regular USPS.
Good luck!!

Great point! I have to get a money order anyway and I believe my local post office handles that. I'll swing by UPS to get me 2 fingerprint cards, then go to post office to get money order and send it all off in their priority envelope!

So far it's been pretty painless. Thanks again!

I actually sent in all my information yesterday. VERY easy to do. I wish all states would make it this easy as is our right. I hope my fingerprints turned out good and not smudged.

Anyway
Application Fee = $60
Priority Mail = $10
Fingerprint 2 cards = $50

$120 total for the entire process thus far.

I'm not sure the current timeframe as far as how long it is taking. I'm guess I'll be waiting at least 2 months or more given the sheer number of requests AZ appears to be having.

Should be quicker than that. I submitted my application Monday of last week (5/8) and received an email yesterday that it was going out in the mail today.

Well that would be fantastic!!!

Which begs the question. How can AZ process these things so quickly and efficiently with CoCo county here in California has been taking literally 8-10 months!!!?!?

Absolutely ridiculous.

They have been all over the place with timeframes. If you read past posts they have been issuing in a few weeks to many, many months.

Hit or miss. But seems like if you ping them after a delay - email or phone - they get it moving.

That was my experience

Package was delivered today. I'll give them a month or so and then hit them up for status. It seems to be like you said, whenever someone reaches out for status update they seem to process that application within a few days.

Does copies of my CA CCW suffice still for proof of firearms safety?

Also, under 'Firearms Qualification And Statutory Review Affidavit' does the issuing agency for my CA CCW go under 'Name of Organization?'

Thanks!

It should be a separate certificate from your training that is for AZ CCW permit. Name of organization should be the CCW training class you took.

If someone corrects me then I apologize.

When I took my CCW training I paid an extra fee for another certificate to submit for AZ CCW.

A copy of your CCW would have been good enough. Or a DD214 if you had been in the military.

Doesn't say anything about a copy of CCW for required documents on the application.

I didn't say it was a required document.
I said it meets your training requirements.

I just used my hunter's safety card from Califorina. It sounds like that will work fine.

Also just checked and my money order was cashed this past week

Just for informational purposes, I charge $25 total for the two cards required for AZ. I do it to promote CCW and not to make a profit.

Does anybody know if there's an online portal to check the status of the application? I applied for my non-resident through Dobbs Firearms Training here in NorCal while I was renewing my CA CCW permit. The instructor was telling the class that some were waiting over a year but through the comments on this thread I see that people were getting them in 2 weeks. This is why I wanted to check the status of my app.

How long ago did you submit?

If it?s longer than 8 weeks, wouldn?t be bad to call. No online portal.
