Default if you could train with any firearms instructor who would it be?

If you could travel to any place in the United States and train with any firearms instructor, who would it be? Pistol, rifle, CCW, whatever.

I'd like to hear what your dream training course would be. I'm going to save up and try and travel for a class next year and I'm looking for some of your dream instructors, or schools.

I've already taken enough classes that I'm not looking for an intro class, but this is really about who / where you'd like to train if you could, so let me hear it.

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Rocco Wlodarek of Black Flag in Chicago has a fun and great CQB course. I've taken levels 1 and 2. 2 is difficult to get into due to lack of students. Not many husbands and wives want to work as a hasty team if their home is invaded.

My experience has been that there's much overlap and there are no secrets to unearth. Once you get to a certain level, you'll get more from self training than from a course.

Pick the one you'll have the most fun with.

Id be looking for self defense firearms training. ( As opposed to competition, etc. )

https://internationaltactical.com/scott.html

My preference would be for folks who have experience with use of force within the US with the tools that Im likely to use, with training that is likely to be relevant to situations that I might find myself in.

If I had the time and money, Id go through the pistol and shotgun classes.

Michael

It was supposed to be 15-20 guys, but ended up being....four. Three day class. It was awesome.

I can get to several great instructors/schools in SoCal (Max Ordinate, ITTS, various traveling teams) so I look at this as more of a wish list that involves travel and expense.

Precision Rifle 1&2 at Rifles Only
Several tactical courses at GTI
Clay shooting with Dan Carlise (he travels thru my area but he gets booked fast)
Handgun with Jerry Barnhardt or TPC

T3Pros, I highly recommend you do head to Paul Howe's CSAT course. It's highly affordable, since he allows you to stay in his barracks for free. He has washers, dryers, several refrigerators, kitchen and a weapons cleaning shed for those staying. Instructors are top rate and he comes out a couple times.

I love ITTS, so I'll just note them down because to me they've really set the bar. The resume of the instructors is great.

I've been to one of Haley's courses, and would go again in a heartbeat. Some of his classes he calls "ALSO a shooting course," instead of "a shooting course," so go expecting anything. Our round count for a 3-day course was exceptionally low.

I'm enrolled in one of Costa's and he was another on my bucket list, just because.

As far as the rest of my wish list? Max Ordinate. Fieldcraft Survival. Kagwerks. Kawa Mawlayee (2 Alpha).

I took a 2 day class many, many years ago from Jerry Barnhardt. Great instructor and he can shoot anything. Is he still teaching?
