Default CZ SP-01 on sale at Sportsman for $699.99

Last cheapest price I saw was $729.99 at Riflegear last year.
Now CZ raised their MSRP across the board so it will not be any cheaper locally.

https://www.sportsmans.com/shooting-...istol/p/p41529

Not sure how many they have but a handful of people already ordered in another thread on Reddit.

Yes you may run into a 1-2 hr wait to DROS, so go on a weekday afternoon for the shortest wait times. DO NOT go on the weekend to start DROS or Pickup. You might wait 2-5 hrs I heard in online threads.

Still in stock, not a bad deal at all.

California compliant version is $699.99. Still a good deal.

Not bad. Turner's has the 75b and 75bd for $599 right now. 75b compact is $629

And yes, wait times at Sportmans is no joke. I'm bummed I missed out on the $729.00 price at Rifle Gear. I'd rather pay the extra $30 and save several hours of my time.

Do it. Buy the sp01 and sell something else you own that you won't shoot as much.

How is this one different than the non-CA roster version? Does it have a magazine disconnect?

No mag disco, the only difference is the magazine capacity. Guns are exact same

And it costs more for less capacity.

Thanks. This is very tempting, I've always wanted to try one.

It's the Newsom tax

Luckily it uses standard Cz75 mags, which I know everyone stocked up on during Freedom Week

Based on the pictures and description, the non CA version comes with night sights, and the CA version comes with a fiber optic front sight and standard two dot rear.

Online is showing oos currently. I ordered one but I might cancel.

$699 is the max that SP01s should cost everyday. Except for 10rd mags, these are exactly the same as the out of state version that goes for $650. People paying $870-$900 for these are getting ripped off. They are nice guns but just because they have steel frames doesnt make them $800 guns. The factory trigger is horrendous.

Was wondering when prices on these would come back to reality. Its very tempting but Im going to hold back this time. Too much uncertainty with economy and if things go south gun prices are going to bottom out especially if the roster goes away. Sportsmans is trying to get ahead of the price drop.

Brentwood store (NorCal) shows in stock. This is a very good price considering the availability has not been very good up to now.
I paid $850 retail for mine in 2021. Fiber optic front sight etc. Excellent factory trigger. Excellent slide to frame fit.

$769.00 at Rifle Gear right now. That's getting up there in price, but paying an extra $70.00 to avoid dealing with Sportmans wait times could be worth it.

Just came back from putting mine in jail at Santee Sportsman. Arrived about 10:15 and two people at the counter helping others when I came in. I was next in line and waited. After a 5 minute wait one of the employees finishes with his customer and calls me up. About 20 minutes later I'm done with the paperword and heading for the door.

Pick up date is Saturday, April 1. I'm not going back in for pickup on a Saturday.

One thing I notices is that they have appointments you can schedule on their website. Nnot sure how that works because the guy in line behinde me came in about 15 minutes early for his 11:00 appt and was lucky enough that the place was not crowded. I didn't see how if there was a line he would be able to go to the front based on his appt time.

Also noticed that the counter didn't even have their "take a number" dispenser loaded. This is a relatively new store that just opened a few months ago. Sitll a secret I guess.

Well, at least someone is getting good service at Sportsmans. I had no idea about setting up an appointment.

Since December 2020 Iv'e bought a Beretta Inox Brigadier, Franchi Affinity 3 and Glock 19 from the Corona location. Each time it's taken at least 2 hours for dros or pickup. One time it took 4+ hours. I admit that I mostly went on the weekend because of my work schedule, but I did take a weekday off once and it still took a long time.

I showed up today at 11:20am to dros the sp-01. At first, the store looked completely empty, maybe a few shoppers looking at clothing. I thought to myself nice it's a rainy weekday maybe I lucked out. The first thing I did was take a number because I know the drill. At the gun counter there was maybe 3 guys waiting, and a few more in the aisles with tickets in their hands.

There was one employee helping customers with gun sales, and another shadowing him like he was being trained. My number was 06 and they were stuck on number 98 for 40 minutes. I ended up just cancelling my order and buying 300 rounds of 9mm instead. They were still on number 98 when I left.

I understand they have good prices, and with lower prices comes slower service, similar to Wal-mart. In the end, Corona is kind of a drive for me anyways, so I'd rather just get better service somewhere closer even if I have to pay a little more.

I did exact same thing a couple years ago, just cancelled my order because i didnt want to wait a rediculous time to DROS.

Sportsmans is much worse than Turners. As much as I want to buy a gun from them it just absolutely kills it when you have to wait for eons.
