I've been interested in building an AR for a while, but costs of jigs plus lower seem a bit high. It would be great if you can add me on this list. also what 80% would be good to use with it? I see I have a bit of time to get one in before it would be my turn. Im in the east bay area btw

so I've decided to purchase my own TM jig. does anyone know if it will work with an "80% arms" lower? I've tried searching but nothing has come up TIA

(its a gen 2 jig btw)

Hey fellas, I have the easy jig from 80percentarms.Com along with 2 80 percent lowers that are just sitting around. I purchased three and only did one. If anyone is interested i'm in sacramento. I'd like to sell it though. Pm if anything.

I ended up buying a replacement plate for $10 and making my own jig out of MDF. Worked great.

Worked for me the other way around (TM lower in 80% jig) so I don't see why not.

I am glad this is still going around I used it and sent it to next on list in May of 2013. I have since bought a mill and my own 1911 and ar jigs.

I think it would be good to keep in mind the jig is made of aluminum as is the lower. Chances are after a dozen or 15 lowers it's getting a little thrashed (if being done by hand, mill/press might be much better shape). Best bet is to find guys to locally go in on a jig. Best price I've seen on lower paperweights is $54. Some quick math says 5 to 7 lowers breaks even the total cost versus just buying a lower outright. Of course the whole no waiting no serial number thing is pretty cool too. Anyways that's my experience.

Ive got one for sale here... Modulus arms jig. They cost 200 plus shipping... Selling for 150. Only used to mill one lower.
