Default best times to go?

i'd like to get back to a range, but with new procedures and a glut of new owners, i suspect long waits and fewer stalls. anyone been out lately to the local ranges that can comment on best (slowest) times? ranges have reopened and many owners are starting to return to work as well, so i'm hoping that most people have scratched the itch by now

i typically shoot at angeles or burro but am game to try oak tree

I went to Angeles Ranges yesterday at open. Busy but not overcrowded. Waited about 25 minutes to check in.

i hadn't heard of it but it looks nice from their site.
normally i try to avoid indoor (especially ones that allow shotguns or rifles) cuz my ears just ring and ring afterwards. but that place may need a visit.

Despite being indoors, smokin barrel is one of the cleanest range I have visited and the RSOs are very attentive. They keep the place safe. Some people think they are a bit intrusive, but I still think they are great.

Went to angeles yesterday morning. Saw lines behind each stall and a long line to check in. Didn't stick around to see how long people were waiting tho.

Angeles was crowded on weekends before covid.

I've been going to Angeles Ranges on Thursdays for their 1/2 price rates. I get there little before 9 and there's usually 5 people ahead of me, but I get done by 9:10.

I'd like to try Wednesday nights.

I can imagine it being busier on weekends.

How has it been there later in the day on 1/2 price Thursdays? Not too crowded?

Another thing that causes the backlog is that they closed half the rifle stations and spaced out the pistol stations. I've had to wait for about 30 min for a rifle station to open up.
