Default Where to take the FSC test?

I'm in the East Bay, does anyone know where or how to schedule the test? CA DOJ site is completely unhelpful. Thanks Calgunners!

Email Ron@bestcollateral.com, we are in South San Francisco, do them by appointment. Shouldn't take long to do test. $25.

City Arms East allowed a friend to do a walk in test.

They even have a nice selection of guns right now. Pandemic pricing is in effect to some degree, but about the same (or lower) than I see used guns selling for here (for instance they had a few Glocks for sale in the $750 range).

What about Big 5? I would think early on a weekday would be a pretty slow time to do this- unless it's ammo delivery day. I hear it's pretty locked up then although I have not seen it for myself.
Good luck.

Default success at Big5

Have to schedule a day or two in advance but I was done in 10 minutes. Then i tried to buy ammo and got denied because I moved and hadn't updated my info in CFARS, now waiting however long it takes to DOJ to process the change of address. Stupid useless laws yay!

Took my test today at the Big 5 on Mowry in Fremont. Had to make an appointment last week. They only do them M-TH. Easy as could be- in and out in about 15 min.
I remember the first time I had to get one of these they were supposed to be only needed for handguns and good for life- but that's a story for another time......

Guns fishing and other stuff in Dublin does it. At least they did in 2018.
I hear you need to call Big 5 because only some employees can administer the test and they’re not always there.

Any store selling guns should be able to administer the test. It takes, what, 5 to 10 minutes to complete. I personally see no reason to take it ahead of time. Figure out what you want to buy and take the FSC as part of the purchase paperwork routine.
