The technique is to prime everything in a light grey. Paint very thing the colors you want to use. After that dries paint it all black and immediately while it all off. Then take some sand paper and hit the high spots. Finally add little rust colored details before clearing over it all. You can also use textured paint if you like. Do a search of you tube of steampunk gun techniques. Pretty cool stuff

Or you can just shoot them a lot. But good job OP, looks cool.

No amount of rounds through anything will make them look like this. I imagine most people wouldn't like this finish. But I've had a lot of guns and enjoy painting.... so why not.
