Congrats to Musick for stepping up to help out with this effort. We also need to know a few details- you got a truck? Tools? (shovels, rakes, 5 gallon buckets, etc.) Sound off if you're willing to help out!

What I can offer: BLM maps, trash containers (bags, 5 gal. buckets, cardboard boxes), tools (shovels, rake), water (5 gal. container) and a great work ethic. I do not have a offroad vehicle, but would be willing to drive and meet someone somewhere who had proper transportation. Of course I would contribute to fuel costs.

Please continue to post and I will take note of screen names and contact individuals when preliminary plans begin. Im very flexible with the dates. It will most likely be a weekend and a 2 hr. max cleaning period. Would like to be onsite by 9am-ish, but again, Im flexible.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Count me in. I have a truck, a rake, a bucket, trash bags and a shovel. Weekends work best for me.

It is the same effort. If you can come out and clean, you will join the list. No requirement to stay and shoot or whatever. Purpose of this thread (correct me if I'm wrong, Musick) is to identify those willing to help. Shooting afterwards is the bonus.

I'm interested in helping if it is on a weekend. I don't have a 4 wheel drive so if I can't drive there in my SUV I would have to get a ride.

If you mean Carrizo Creek, where we had a REALLY BIG cleanup maybe 3-4 years ago... it's closed to shooting :-(

I'll add my name to the list, contingent upon when and where.

You sir are correct.

So six or seven should be a good size for a cleanup.

How is February 9th or 16th look for everybody?

The idea behind this effort is to keep known areas known by those who want to keep them clean. Obviously we are dealing with a larger population that knows about them as well. The goal is to get a list of volunteers established, and the cleanups will be announced by PM or email once the event is organized. We will be working with BLM and local agencies. This is by no means a commitment for anyone, just a starting contact point to see where our resources are available. PM any specific questions to your local C3 rep.

I've keep meaning to get out to BLM land so I can really test my rifles. No truck but soon I might have my 2WD Santa Fe back which would probably be better off-road than my GTI... I've got a few buckets and a rake, maybe a shovel :P

Edit: 2/9 or 2/16 should be open for me as well.

Sounds to be a worthy cause, I'd be up for it! It would be great to make a press release about it, let John Q Public know what we are doing. I would be willing to make some telephone calls to BLM to get some input from them. I have a Chevy Suburban and I can haul a few people and some materials with me!

New to forumn, I have a truck(2wd) rake, shovel, bucket and a couple old SMLEs that need to get some outdoor shooting in. I am new to the area, dont know anyone down here. I work out of town a lot, usually on last minute notice so it's difficult to commit for certain but please keep me in the loop. Would like to meet some of you and pik up some lazy sods trash. Cheers

We had a clean up this last Monday and it went well. Between musick and I we should have a couple clean up/shoots a month hopefully. Here is a link to the one we just had
