Default LAX ammo

I walked into LAX ammo on Mercury st. I saw prices 9mm advertised online for 30 cents a round. When I arrived the cheapest prices were 55 cents a round. They claimed they have nothing to do with the online store that has the same name and logo. !!!!???? I told them off and walked out.

It seems like everyone has plenty of ammo. Every gun shop i've walked into is stacked with it. I think we all need to stop buying it so the price will return to near normal.

If you call the Mercury store they will tell you the prices before you drive down.

The 357 magnum I bought performs well.

All stores have ammo sales nowadays. I agree, is less people bought at these prices, prices would eventually drop even more.

I'll add this.

Having their store local is a good thing, yeah they have to pay rent so expect prices to be higher.

I was a big fan of the 10mm NEW they have before I started hand loading. William who runs that store is a standup guy and trying to turn a profit. I commend them for sticking it out and that little extra you're gonna spend helps keep a local biz running.

there's a difference between paying a bit more and being ripped off

Unfortunately, the LAX Ammo in Orange County and L.A. County will say the same thing. I learned through the owners that it's a completely separate line of ownership. The physical stores have nothing to do with the LAX Ammo website.

How do I know... cause I rushed in one day (sometime last year) when I saw an add for 1,000 rounds of 9mm - 115gr new at only $270-ish plus tax. LoL.

I don't think the physical stores are intentionally trying to mislead people. It's the website that isn't putting the disclaimer out there.

Just my unbiased knowledge and opinion.

I had the same problem with LAX ammo. Their "online prices" are not available for instore sales, yet they will not ship to any California addresses. Someone should consider dropping a dime regarding their bait and switch tactics. BTW, the online stores are directly connected to the physical stores. Just look at the website and scroll down for their "retail locations. If they tell you they are not connected, they are lying.
