Sacramento Valley Shooting Center
Project Appleseed April 17-18 https://appleseedinfo.org/schedule/?...ate=California Project Appleseed is a non-profit organization that teaches 3 position riflemarksmanship (prone, seated/kneeling and standing). We teach you how to build a proper position, use of a sling for better accuracy, natural point of aim and more. This is great for all experience levels from beginner to advanced. We also tell the story of the beginning of the Revolutionary War, April 19, 1775. We need to remember what those brave people went through that day, and the days/years to follow. This information is being lost in our schools. Come join us!! Learn new skills. Dust off the rusty skills. |

No, it's not just a rimfire event. We do get a mix. More rimfires when the ammo for the centerfires is expensive or scarce.
Another suggestion is to bring the .22 and the centerfire. If you are feeling pretty good about your shooting on Saturday, you can always switch on Sunday for a bit. Some people use the rimfire to get their rifleman patch, then switch to the centerfire and work on making Rifleman with that. It's a whole lot of fun no matter what you are shooting. Everyone learns something, especially if you make sure to bring a teachable attitude. ![]() |

I believe so, but you need to check with Sac Valley Shooting Center on the details. They usually require you to be fully self contained.
Hope to see you out there!! |

It is a 2 day event. Day one is teaching and practicing. We might get one of the AQT's (Appleseed Qualification Target) in. Day 2, AM is review, PM is more AQT's until we can't shoot anymore due to time constraints. The Patriot's Day event has a special volley on Sunday and special targets. There are also some goodies that we don't give at other events.
By the way, there are now only 6 tickets left. |
