Default Groove Life Belts with magnetic buckle

Has anyone tried the Groove Life Belt that has the magnetic buckle? It is a web type belt that has a metal buckle with magnets to lock it. They say it is stiff enough to use with a holster. I was thinking of giving it a try and was wanting some feedback first. Here is a link to the belt.

Never used it

Doe sit have too much stretch for a gun belt?

I picked up a similar belt with an off brand cobra bucket on Amazon... to me it would not work with a holster... too much give

from your link

t all began with our proprietary webbing, engineered with just the right amount of stretch

It's hard for me to believe that a belt that bends like what is shown in the picture is going to be rigid enough for a gun belt.

I also want a belt that is going to 100% stay in place if I things get crazy...like you get in a fight or something. YMMV.

I have seen some review videos and what not and people have said the belt sags and doesn’t sit firmly. I was also curious about it and thought about getting one.

I’ve had a lot of success with the wolf tactical belt.

I'm wearing one right now and love it as a casual belt, but it's not stiff enough for a holster. Someone should definitely make a stiffer one with their magnet system.

I received one as a gift. Nice casual belt but would never wear it as a gun belt.

I think that they need to bring back Velcro shoes also...

Had one and returned it. As mentioned earlier, it's a casual belt, not a gun belt. My favorite casual belt is a Nextbelt EDC Supreme in black. It uses a ratchet system similar to my Kore Essential but has a slim buckle that makes it very comfortable for EDC.

I might have to check one of these out. Love my Kore belt for classes, but the bulky buckle makes it impractical for EDC.

Don’t know why they advertise a separate “gun belt”. The belt material looks the same as all the other belts.

I have one that I wear daily with my EDC, for about a year. I’ve also trained with it with no issues on drawing from either IWB and OWB with a paddle attached holster. It stretches but horizontally not vertically, so it does not affect your draw. Never has an issue with the buckle disengaging either.

It’s not a gun belt the sense of being used for a battle belt setup, but it is a good EDC belt for CCW to me.

My EDC gun belt is wide and stiff. Oops almost turned into a butt thread.

What about IWB or AIWB carry? Your pants are providing a fair amount of support as well if properly fit, I find the stretch nice for transitioning postions. It's not a good OWB holster but for everyday IWB I'd say its very serviceable.

I've got a couple.

Good casual belt for cargo shorts. Not a gun belt.

Be very careful not to get your credit cards with the magnetic strip close to the buckle. The neodymium magnet will ef it up. I learned the hard way.

I’ve been using it for appendix carry. It gives just a little horizontally but just enough that once you adjust the correct tension it allows just enough give to sit driving in a car and not have to adjust when you get out and walk around. The only thing is it needs to be removed to be able to adjust so I removed the magnetic buckle and used the strap on a Grip6 buckle. I melted the buckle side so the Grip 6 retains it and doesn’t slip through the buckle slot. This allows me to adjust it while wearing it if I need more room when slitting in the car but ñ
