Fantastic Fundamentals of Marksmanship event this weekend! The weather was a bit bipolar, Saturday was chilly and Sunday was hot windy and dry. Of the allowed number of shooters there was still space for one more (that could have been you). The shooting was amazing and a dedicated shooter applied the crucial steps and concepts taught within the course qualifying with an amazingly challenging Rifleman score! congratulations! As with any event involving many people a hidden danger lurked hidden on Saturday, this was discovered after the course of fire that day and dealt with. A 1'6" Rattlesnake was discovered hidden in the bench area of Renge E (another reason to get off the bench and get in the dirt to do rel shooting). To all who attended a hearty congratulations and respect is owed. For anyone who didn't attend, your presence was missed. If you weren't there, have you attended an Appleseed before or are you scheduled to attend one in the future? If the answer to that question is no, Why? I would love to find out why people havent or don't plan to attend a shoot. Lets discuss.

I highlighted the Rainbow shoots for convenience. I'll be at the Rainbow event on June 25th-26th. I think I'm gonna have to check out some of these pistol clinics and known distance rim fire events, shooting a .22lr at a real distance for score seems challenging. |
