Applied end JAN 2022
Interview 3/25/22
CA / FBI cleared 3/25/22
Firearms cleared 6/24/22
no response from 7/25/22
Emailed them and said it can take up to 9 months, just a waiting game at this point I guess.

5/23/22 - interviewed

How did you get the dates that show your CA and FBI also you Firearms cleared I don't know how to get that Info?

FBI completed on 07/05/22. CA completed on 07/07/22 just waiting on firearms to complete and then I should get my letter or phone call to set up my range day

Nice! You definitely want to get a phone call not a letter. Letters usually mean denial last I heard.

I'm heading in to turn in my renewal paperwork. Can I expect to take another photo for my permit or will they just use the one from 2 yrs ago?

Hey how’d you figure out that your CA/FBI cleared? Looks like it was the same day as your interview, they didn’t mention any results to me. I hope the 9 months is just an over estimation.

Firearms still in progress. I thought the process had been streamlined so it would take no more than 90 days from date of application or 30 days after background check comes back from FBI/CA DOJ

It’s been 31 days since my interview and not got a call yet. Have you checked on the DOJ website if your background checks and firearms checks are completed? Google DOJ applicant background check status and input your ATI number and DOB when prompted

Look near the bottom of your copy of the livescan form. The technician will have written the ATI number assigned by the system when your fingerprints were captured.

So I just checked and my firearms completed yesterday 08/09/2022. Now I just gotta wait on the CCW division to call me to set up my training day

Real easy, I just asked for my ATI number so I could check my status and they put me on hold so they could retrieve it
