I got a delivery coming from the PH.

It is an order for 12.
It loads hot.
It might come with 30 rounds. Could be less or more.
It was an online order.
I could track my shipment too.
And made in the USA with globally sourced materials.

So, here's a question, does CA have some way to determine who has purchased magazines? Can they subpoena a vendor's records or some such thing?

They have in the past, and fighting it can get expensive for the vendor so you can't guarantee they won't hand the info over.

At least one vendor shipped magazines and then realized things were more complicated and recalled them. I don't know if any got through.

Tombstone Tactical Canceled my order:

Hello,We were all very excited by the recent ruling of Duncan v. Becerra as a major win for Second Amendment Rights. However, after careful evaluation we are not able to fulfill high capacity magazine orders yet due to the U.S. District Court's Order Staying In Part Judgement Pending, in other words, though we are much closer to being able to send high capacity magazines into California, we must wait for all of the proceedings to conclude or be resolved. At this time, information is not available on when this Stay might be addressed, so we are cancelling high capacity magazine orders to California. We had not accepted the payment authorization for your order, so payment has been released and the order cancelled. We hope to be serving our California Patriots soon, but until then can be reached for any questions, concerns, and of course, California Compliant items. We appreciate your patience both with us and our nation's justice system, and wish you all the best. Thank you, Zach

PSA refunded my money today (I'd asked them to). Brownells shows the items as "shipped" with no tracking #s. I checked with the various regular shipping companies and I don't appear to have anything coming my way so I'm guessing they're just holding them. They aren't responding to emails so no way to be sure. They've charged my card so I'd just as soon not let this drag out forever.

“Brownells Position on California Magazine Orders – Updated August 28, 2020

Brownells is aware of the August 28 development in the Duncan v. Becerra case. We are currently in discussion with our legal team to better understand the rather complicated legal outcomes in this case as it relates to the transfer and possession of standard capacity magazines in the state of California.

Brownells continues to accept standard capacity magazine orders from California customers; however, we are not currently shipping standard capacity magazines to California.

We will provide an update to customers with standard capacity magazines on order when we have more to share.”

As always, thank you for being a Brownells customer.

A friend of mine got several mags in the mail, and on...Thursday I believe? the company contacted her frantically and demanded she return them, with the prepaid label they sent her via email.

Unfortunately all this is going to do is make vendors more cautious should there be more brief "windows" to make purchases in the future. I cannot really blame them either.

Respectfully
Kyle

“Valued Brownells Customer,

We are reaching out because you recently placed an order for standard-capacity magazines bound for a California shipping address.

We held high hopes that we could support your freedom and ship the magazines to you quickly. However, the most recent (August 28, 2020) appeal filed by the State of California in the Duncan v. Becerra case, will appear to delay a resolution in this matter for the foreseeable future. Put simply, we cannot legally ship standard-capacity magazines to California residents right now.

Therefore, we must CANCEL the standard-capacity magazines you currently have on order with us. If California-compliant products are also in that order, those products will ship to you immediately. Rest assured, your credit card has not been billed for the standard-capacity magazines.”

I can’t find any verification that you’ve been hearing these reports.

What are the sources from which you’ve been hearing this? Why do you not trust them (OK, Gun store desk jockey...got it)?

If you’re actually interested in whether vendor xyz has fulfilled orders, then tell us the vendor.

I cant either lol. I don't want to put other peoples info out there, in case it's not true, it's more word of mouth and social media stuff. Im not sure if this is an outlier or something else. Then again people could also be lying to look good in front of other people. The last thing I want to do is spread misinformation that why I decided to ask the forum.

Here’s the thing....if I received mags, I would never post it because the legality of the transaction is still unsettled. On the other hand, if I ordered mags and the order was cancelled, I still would not say anything because I don’t want to be associated with the potential goat rope.

Best.

So I heard recently that the 3rd circuit has agreed that the Standard/High cap magazine ban is constitutional. My question is ,since the 9th has said it is unconstitutional and the 3rd has said it is, what will this mean for us since both the rulings contradict each other? And can AG Bacera use the 3rd's decision to help favor his case in the 9th circuit. Thanks in advance for answers.

You sure hear a lot of stuff. Perhaps this could be explained by reading the Duncan thread.

No point in having a list until this is resolved so for now let's call this done.
