Default Weatherby Vanguard .223, ASR great day.

Gents,

I have a heavy barrel Weatherby Vanguard that shot lights out. It was on/off windy today, NE between 7-25 mph. But once I got it sighted in, it shot lights out.
I use the 55gr Barnes MPG, 26.5gr CFE, #41 primer, new brass. Clocked it at 3065fps. Between gusts of wind, was able to shoot out to 400 yards, 8.1 MOA up from zero. All the gongs rang from smallest to largest. Coyote rifle officially read! Woo, hoo A2

Good to hear the good review. I’ve been wanting to give the MPG’s a try myself. How far off the lands are you seating the bullet?
