Default CROM - Ruger PCC magazine G-lock?

Anyone have suggestions on the Ruger PC Carbine chewing up glock and Magpul magazines and converting to CROM's plastic magazine lock part?

Is it over kill or practical? Worth the $40 to replace the metal one if youre going to use primarily 9mm glock or magpul magazines?

Any thoughts welcome, Thank you!

Cheers

I personally don't like that Rob overlooked this "issue" during the design and development of the chassis. He is a Glock certified armorer and should have known about this and IMO, considering the cost of the chassis, this plastic mag catch/release should have been included. Instead, he is now trying to sell this as an add-on "upgrade" for $40. Ouch! End Rant

BTW, I started a thread about this here:

Great guy to deal with. What's $40 among friends! I have hos plastic mag catch on my regular pcc9 and it functions great.

Wouldn't friends not cost you $40 to begin with. Theres 2 types of people in the world and 2 types of thought lol

SO after research it sounds like the Magpul mags are a harder plastic than glocks and other after market brands? Any experience with this theory?
Seems like some people from the other thread have come that conclusion, or is it that magpuls are just cheaper and easier to replace?

I have not tested the theory, but as far as which mags are easier to replace? Freedom mags are irreplaceable. Now if you discover a vendor that sells mag bodies alone, whether it be Glock or Magpul, please share this information.
