Nice! Congrats on the purchase!
I’ll be surprised if you don’t change the set up at least one more time during your ownership of it. Customizing your firearms is extremely addicting. I purchased my first shotgun/gun in 2012 after the election results. It was a Winchester Black Shadow SXP. It was beautiful but I never used it and sold it to fund my next gun. From then on it was a downward slope for me. I had gotten bit by the gun bug. Beretta, S&W, Ruger, Glock, Springfield, Winchester, Walther, Remington etc. You name it and I’ve either had it or fired one. I bought a Remington 870 in 2013 and sold it a year later due to unemployment and having a difficult time finding a job in CA. My wife knew I missed it so she bought me a replacement one last year for Christmas for a fantastic Black Friday price. Most thoughtful gift I’ve ever gotten. That one is never leaving my collection. Very few place to shoot clays except out in field. HD shotguns with barrels shorter than 22 inches not allowed. Be nice if you could get a 26 or 28 inch barrel for it. Cannot shoot trap, skeet or sporting clays.

Wallyworld win 100 packs are cheap 24 bucks buy before first of year. Train with 3/1/8 field loads so you do not beat up your pocketbook and shoulder. These work fine for home SD. does not go thru 3 walls and kills yours or neighbors kids. And everyone who can hear understands the sound of a shotgun chambering a round.

Depending on location federal 7, 7.5 and 8 runs 19.97 per 100. Estate I think is 4.75 a box on clearance. There was this suprema on sale for 1.50 a box. Wallys also has some suprema buck 9.97 box of 25. As for the sound of a shotgun racking? Yeah Idk about that. Imho sd hd should be already loaded, bit ymmv Sent from my LG-M210 using Tapatalk

Nice 870 , do nothing to it and look for a clean 870 wing master with a 26 inch barrel. I will never sell a 870 again, they will be passed down. I bought a 870 Magnum last year at Little very clean . It was to replace the one I sold in 1978 for 200$

870 great choice. Instead of doodads sign yourself up for the two day tactical shotgun course at Front Sight in Pahrum , Nevada. You will walk away from the course with a sore shoulder and a real appreciation for that firearm. I have some course certificates which I will transfer to you for FREE. Shoot me a PM and we can get you hooked up.
